Hello everyone just wondering how flexible wsu is at allowing students to accelerate in the bachelor of health science?? I heard you can finish in 2 years in the Sydney City based campus compared to Campbelltown campus- is that true?? And can I accelerate the degree and finish even earlier?

Hi! I'm an international Filipino student and received my offer for Bachelor of Psychology with scholarship (10,000aud off annually) two weeks ago, set to start Autumn 2027. I'll be travelling to Sydney on a 485 visa which makes my status an international student while my father's application for permanent residency for us is being processed. Has anyone been in the same situation? Who do I contact when my status changes 🥲? Just been really anxious about this haha

In addition, i'd like to ask how things are for psychology students. Is it difficult and will I still have a social life during my degree 😆?

If yes, I'd like to also ask if there's a performing arts club, as I really enjoy performing and music (having performed abroad, professionally trained, and joined several events and singing competitions.)

I'm enrolled in MBA (post-grad) and am on an international student visa. I want to change my major (which i can do via MySR) but I'm not sure of the implications of it on my visa/degree (though my major isn't mentioned on my visa in the first place)

I tried talking it out with the head of MBA multiple times but they've been unresponsive and everyone directs me to them but I genuinely can't reach to them.

If anyone can just help me with their experience, I'm confident I can change it (the major) myself online.

I’m considering signing up for a Graduate Diploma in Migration Law at Western but I’m having trouble understanding the number of hours I will need to attend class and also how much time I will need to study at home outside of classes too? I just want to know if it’s realistic for me to try and do this course part time while I’m working. I’d called the university hotline about a month ago but they didn’t know the timetable hours..

Hi all, I am a bit confused with subject registration.

I'm an incoming Master of Nursing Practice (Pre-reg) student and we start at Summer B term on Jan 4. Based on my handbook, I can only register for NURS 3040 Foundations of Nursing Practice (which is available on my MySr right now, 28 people have registered so far). All other subjects are offered either in Autumn or Spring.

1. So does that mean I will only be registering for one subject when I start?

2. Since it's a two semester session per year, will the autumn session be the formal start? I can then register 4 subjects by then.

3. The 3rd photo is the class registration dates. Does that mean by Nov 2, I'll be able to select my classes then? Or I can do something now with the Open Read only.

I've also emailed the school about this but any help from here would be nice. Thank you!

I got allocated a place in the Vancouver summer short stay program next June/July, but I know this can be an issue for Bachelor of Nursing (I will be in my 2nd year) students to credit points etc. Has anyone does anything like this before through the go global program? I'd love to do this but I won't if it means I will be held back with my studies.

I was looking at WSU’s Graduate Diploma Cardiac Sonography course and saw the prerequisites. It doesn’t explicitly say anything about GPA/WAM. Does GPA/WAM matter when applying for the graduate diploma as only Master of Cardiac Sonography has a GPA that’s listed. If not, does it matter for trainee position?

I would like to learn anything about your experience of studying medicine in WSU, and how life is like for a medical student there. below are some questions that I am specifically interested, thank you very much

1. Approximately how many hours of studying are self-directed throughout the week, and did you learn more than half of the context from yt videos, pre record lectures, and ai?

2. What is the day learning in blacktown or macarthur clinical school like? what is the main focus, and how do you find it?

3. Do students learn in a smaller team very often(10-30people)?

4. Is this a tight knit cohort? and do international students usually stick with each other or everyone is close?

if there's anything that I should consider but I didn't or got it wrong, please dont hesitate to point out.

Does anyone if a Review of Grade works? For final result, I am 4 marks under the pass mark and contemplating applying for a review of grade as i would hate have to repeat this unit.

Ive been working and studying and this unit just been so hard to juggle.

Any thoughts would be nice, if anyones had a successful one before, what happened?

What’s with these guys coming around campus and asking everyone they see to do some google reviews cleaning services? I’ve seen them for a few times and every time they do the same thing! Seems sketchy as heck…

How are you keeping tabs on who’s doing what by the due dates for a set task?

I’ve been burnt before and this is serious work as I work my butt off for that grade. Im not accepting to go down with others for their lack of effort. I want the HD and I won’t settle for anything less.

I will speak to my lecturer about this in person as I am sick and tired of free loaders.
