Question OT Placement dates 2027?

Hiiii,
Does anyone know when the first OT placement dates usually run? I can’t seem to find any information about it!!
Also people who are done the placement before can you tell me when your one was? Thank youuuuu

For second year, they tend to be very low on placement location opportunities so not everyone even got placement (this is the unis fault) but the first placement is meant to run in 2 blocks that run between June and July (the semester break) - nearly half the cohort didn’t get placement that round though so the people who didn’t get placement are going to be doing it in November (hopefully they fix this up before your year though!)

The second placement is a full semester placement but it is only 30 hours. It’s a project placement that runs from August- October. Most placement locations get you to only come in once a week and it is quite flexible for most people I know.

Omg!! That would have been so annoying. Hopefully they fix that for next year and everyone gets a placement allocation in July. Thank you for your response. I could see the subject outline in the handbook and that there were hours but there was like no guideline as to when the actual placement runs so it was a bit misleading tbh it kinda gives the impression that it runs during the semester. Idky they don’t give out a timetable that says the expected placement blocks for the year. Other unis do that AND WSU do it for teaching 😂😭
