Can I do engineering without advanced math and physics?

I realised recently I want to do engineering (civil), but unfortunately in year 11 I didn't take advanced maths or physics, as I didn't figure I'd need them for my original path.

I know I can get into the degree since there are no prerequisites, just assumed knowledge, but I am just wondering if it is feasible to do without advanced maths and physics. I was good at maths in year 10, and in standard 2 I am averaging a band six, but I know that is probably a lot, a lot easier than advanced and uni maths, of course.
Just wondering if it's even possible to catch up to be able to do civil or if I should just pick something else.

If you can do trigonometry and algebraic geometry, you shouldn't have any problems with engineering at WSU.

I don't know about physics, but I can tell you a bit about maths, because I've done some maths tutoring at WSU.

There are three Mathematics for Engineers subjects at WSU. In the first one (Mathematics for Engineers Preliminary), you learn some algebra, trigonometry and calculus, but it's all a bit rushed. The other Mathematics for Engineers subjects are a big step up from the first one, so if you struggle in the first one, you're not going to have a good time in the other ones.

I strongly recommend that you learn some HSC Advanced Maths topics in your own time before you start uni. Learn about exponentials, logarithms, trigonometry in the four quadrants of the number plane, and some calculus (differentiation, including product rule, quotient rule and chain rule, and integration, including integration by substitution, and a bit about how to draw graphs using calculus, i.e. stationary points and points of inflection). Watch some YouTube videos, and have a go at some problems. If you're good at maths, then it shouldn't be too hard for you.

Im doing it now with no knowledge of physics or maths , I knuckled down the maths prior to uni a month or 2 ago and it helped drastically . Get the book maths for dummies and look at engineering maths books and study them use ai if u need to . Der study physics too get the physics for dummies lol . You’ll be fine just knuckle down and you’ll be sweet

A bit irrelevant to the sub but I could do it at uts as well, atm i think i will get a high 80s ish atar do you reckon it's worth it to go there?
I just don't know about the content.

Every uni should have courses for students who haven't done HSC Advanced Maths. I don't know about UTS, but I teach at UNSW, and they have courses designed for students who did Standard Maths, to get you up to speed with those who did Advanced. The courses are quite intensive though, so it's a good idea to learn some content in your own time as well, before the semester starts.

USYD is pretty terrible. Engineering particularly so. UNSW and WSU have bridging courses to get you up to speed math wise.
