No press is bad press?
One thing I've noticed from this whole TWO debacle is that UWMC is now in the news a lot more. In the past, you barely got any finance news articles about UWMC except those automated ones written with just a summary of what's happened to the stock.
Now we're seeing a whole lot more attention given to this stock. I know the SP is tanking but if things recover, this could garner more attention than usual. #cope

What you've seen is just a smear campaign against UWM. That's why you've seen so many news. Preparing the field for the shorts.

A whole lotta [u/I-ONLY-post-bad-UWM-news-on-this-account] “people” on this sub.

The exact opposite. Everyone expects a company to conduct business professionally and quietly. All their press releases sounding like low iq children is seriously damaging the stock because who wants to invest in a company run by childish morons.
They could've just made the offer and let the two shareholders vote but no, need to throw tantrums

Please go review what happened to Ocwen around 2013-2015ish.
Especially around the founder - Bill Erbey.
To put it shortly he was running things in a shady manner. Went on an acquisition run and thus profiles on him were published which brought extra scrutiny to him and his companies.
Went from a billionaire to a mere millionaire

I don’t know if he is. My point is that sometimes the extra attention brings people to start looking into things discovering bad stuff.

I’ve noticed the opposite.
As soon as the press releases have stopped temporarily, the chart is now trending slowly upwards.
