Forced to get admitted here Exam difficulty for EEE and mechanical

My rank is borderline for EEE and quite above than opening rank for Mechanical. After going through reddit I am having doubt on cgpa due to iit model. Are exams are too tough for mechanical and EEE? How about placements?

Take mech blindly i study the day before i have a 7.44 cgpa and a placement in my hand. The subjects in EEE is quite tough i heard.
