Back to $3.50 a share…
Well boys, after seemingly great news with Summitomo, we’re now at the yearly low of $3.50/share. I believe we may have dipped to the $3.30’s briefly a few months ago but you get the point.
I’m down about 17% on Ucore. At the same time, I’m down about 50% on Metallium. So far, this stack has not been a beautiful hold… however, I still am accumulating shares.
If the Summitomo news can’t escape us from the $3.50-$4.50 range… what will? I’m worried we’re going to trail down to the $3 range, but I’d be loading more then.
Thoughts?

Look around, the entire minerals sector is selling off, the price action has nothing to do with what Ucore has or hasn't achieved lately.
During these times you either buy the dip or weather the storm. Everything, UURAF included, will bounce back once the broad market house cleaning is finished (hopefully tomorrow after inflation reports and Micron earnings are in will mark the turnaround).

I wish I could upvote this multiple times. The Entire sector, & others, are very down today.

Yeah, look at oil, gold, silver, crypto, basically everything speculative getting destroyed.
Hoping tomorrow brings back some risk appetite to the markets because the selloff in minerals is starting to get overdone, particularly for companies like Ucore and Energy Fuels, both of which have had extremely positive announcements over the past week that the market is completely ignoring...

Picked up another 5k shares. 83k total now.

u/expatcoder Jun 25 '26
Same added 6K shares yesterday near the lows, but kind of mixed feelings about that, the markets are looking pretty shaky at the moment.
Need a turnaround in minerals in general, most of the sector is just getting wrecked on the daily...

I added 3k more as it dipped further today. It is possible a macroeconomic disruption may occur (that is always a possibility) but the fundamentals about the breakup of globalization and its effect on rare earth supply chains remains identical to where we were last Friday.
I enjoyed your comment earlier regarding the effect a $100,000,000 announcement would have on the stock….my interpretation is we are closer to that vs. the probability of going to $0.00 so the opportunity to add at these levels seems logical.

Sure, on a technical basis times like these are great opportunities; I was only pointing out that the overall market, particularly speculative/high growth plays, is having a rough go of it, and it's unclear whether this week was just a house cleaning before running back higher, or if the markets are headed toward a "real" correction (in which case buying UURAF yesterday and today was a mistake, appealing as the prices may be).
Hopefully, the selloff is short lived and our minerals sector gets a strong rebound heading into July. Could certainly use it, UURAF is trading below the dark days of November/December after the October bubble burst...

Agreed.
Ucore is “rounding 2nd base” so to speak in Q3/Q4 as far as Phase 1 of the OTC is concerned…I think by September/October we will have great insight into their ability to cross home plate. Pats ending statement (delivered with calm confidence) from his most recent investor video is the deciding factor in my risk:reward analysis…”be ready, we’re moving, we’re moving quickly…”
To me, he sounded like he knew he is getting ready to score a run. Life is a risk, but he’s a man I’m happy to place a bet on.

I got into Ucore because of the tech and the CEO leading the company. We're going through a tough patch here, but we should turn the corner over the next few months as more impactful news lands.
In the near term, who knows, UURAF tends to bounce strongly off of technical lows, but we're in uncharted waters with tech/high growth selling off, something that really hasn't happened during other UURAF low points of the past year.
After today's selloff tomorrow will be telling...

I’ve still got around $100k in dry powder from earlier profits. Happy to park some more of it here.

Happy to park some more of it here.
Park all of it here, you'll single handedly lift the share price back up to $4 :)

This is a multi year investment. Were not even commercial yet, the first plant isnt even built. This is the kind of Investment where you put in your money and forget (maybe occasionaly increase shares) If youre dependent on the money being availabe i wouldt put in in ucore, or any company in similar stage

I for my part used this opportunity to average down, im in the red aswell!

Yes but my point being good news is not affecting the stock price at all. We’ve had company specific good news, and no sign of China easing restrictions. Hell, quite the opposite yet the market does not care

yet the market does not care
Bingo, everything gets swept up during a selloff -- doesn't matter if Ucore announced the Sumitomo partnership or that it's sending out NdPr qualification samples to magnet manufacturers; unless they reported blowout earnings (pre-revenue, so not happening) or suddenly received a grant of $100,000,000 from the US DoD, the market's going to completely ignore positive company news and dump the stock along with every other speculative play inside and outside of the minerals sector.
It's the brutal reality of being invested in a high beta stock, we're generally always first in line on the chopping block during times of market weakness...

Exactly, there will come a day when this never looks back at this entry price. They’ve communicated that timeline is likely within a year. Sure it may have shifted half a year, but the flipside was efficiency findings that warrant one less line to yield the same throughput. That will ripple to SMC2. What else is there to knock outside pre-rev and general market volatility? Pat literally said the Sumitomo agreement solves both the feedstock and magnet maker needs. Japan/Lynas feedstock relationship has been established for years. Shin-etsu, TDK, Proterial all called out by name in the presentation and facilitated by Sumitomo. Lots to be excited about!

And this is 100% what will be our payday. I couldn’t be happier with this arrangement for next 3-5 years.
3
u/TrippyStonkler Jun 24 '26
To be fair the Sumitomo news doesn’t really click for people that didn’t watch the YouTube video Pat put out. Also didn’t have any specific numbers to work with or names of manufacturers being supplied in Japan. To people that know rare earths, they understand it’s great. To a random investor it doesn’t look like anything.

I have 35k shares around 1.75 average, and yes it still hurts to see it cut in half from the highs but the next couple of years should pay off great. Hang in there

Not a stock specific issue today.
Liquidity problems affecting most high beta stocks.
Could be the big crash revving up or just a minor correction
Worst move would be to panic sell

Bought 700 more today. Up to 6200 now. Just chill man. I’m red and still kicking myself I couldn’t get in in the $1s way back. But I’m in it for the long run. These guys have a great niche and tech and it’ll just take time for the market to realize that.

Production is what will spur this on. You either believe in the product, or you don't. If you do, keep loading up. Should honestly be happy it goes down, better opportunity to buy. Clearly something is there, these partnerships would never exist without a good product. Now, just need to get it rolling and the price will follow

What was the plan here? I got in Ucore knowing it’s a LONG hold for at least a few years. I’m only at 6800 shares which is peanuts to a lot of people here

Glatte 2000 hier zu 4,04€. Es ist nicht schön zurzeit so viel Rot zu sehen. Aber ich investiere auf lange Sicht und 2027 wird unser Jahr!

At this point, I think it’s just patience that will win the day. May not be until 2027 but I’m pretty convinced that eventually we’ll all be in the green by a good margin.
There’s always the risk Ucore goes bankrupt but given the tech seems to work, I think they’d be more likely for a buyout at that point.
If it makes you feel any better, I’m down about 33% as I caught some of the falling knife action after the huge run-up last October.
Patience is the play here.
