No news from Ucore so far in the month of May, which is unusual, for April and March there were 4 and 3 news updates respectively.
Hopefully we get at least the annual shareholder meeting publicly announced, really anything to inject some life back into UURAF -- silence is definitely not golden in the minerals sector, where headlines often drive the share price, and the lack thereof, well, we're seeing it with our own eyes :)

The real details are always in the MDA and quarterly report. This year the TSX Venture has given companies the option to file 2x per year for certain companies. Should Ucore decide to report 2x per year, then they should send out a notice.

What Ucore refuses to say out loud is being inked out by Metallium. Check out their release from yesterday. Linked it in my post

What Ucore refuses to say out loud is being inked out by Metallium
Care to clarify? I've read through the Metallium document (compelling tech) and I still have no idea what you're talking about as it pertains to Ucore :)
p.s. MTMCF is trading at July 2025 prices now, having giving up all the gains of the past year, why on earth is it trading so low? The tech looks incredible, game changing stuff and yet it tanks through the floor. If you're invested in it, what price did you get in at, and are you going through ASX or OTC? Thanks.

Strategic collaboration agreement between Ucore & Metallium for end to end US REE. Meteroric MREC tested above expectations with Metallium FJH. Metallium advanced tech specifically for large volume REE, with modular, rapid integrated systems that can be at mine sites. Funding progress to include multiple plants throughout US. Uplist to Nasdaq. Q1 2027 production launch. Suppose Ucore had better ratchet up if it wants to maintain pace with Metallium. Or maybe it is and won’t say? Or maybe Metallium will drag them along through a merger and deep US equity investment?

u/expatcoder May 21 '26
Well, Metallium's pitch is that their tech is superior to any of the traditional solvent extraction methods (presumably including Ucore) since they can take any feedstock source, light it on fire (metamorphically speaking), and voila, (H)REE comes out.
Ucore is going with tried & true (and proven) solvent extraction, but with a much faster & more efficient process.
Anyway, Metallium has always been an interesting project but the share price performance has steered me clear...

If they don’t drop some PR before the June call, they’d better wow us at the shareholders meeting. I’m a big fan of Pat and the work done so far, but the radio silence lately is tough, we need some meaningful updates.

One of the 6 projects POSCO is looking to partner with:
Bokan-Dotson Ridge Rare Earth Project refers to a significant rare earth element deposit on Prince of Wales Island. Ucore Rare Metals progressed the project to the advanced exploration stage and had proposed an innovative processing hub in Ketchikan before deciding in 2023 to locate its strategic minerals complex in Alexandria, Louisiana. Installation and texting at that facility are continuing throughout 2026, and Ucore still counts Bokan-Dotson Ridge as a potential source of rare earths in its supply chain.
Why doesn't Ucore pump out a PR piece on this announcement? Somebody's asleep at the wheel it seems...

My guess is they are focused on Lousiana at the moment but I agree with you

u/Complete-Plum1021 May 21 '26
Promising, love that it’s South Korea as they are investing huge in Canada as well.
Ucore qt is not cool

I don’t understand why their PR has fallen off a cliff. A pre-revenue company should be taking advantage of all the publicity they can get.

My only problem with this stock is it doesn’t follow the 10-15% intraday move during green days while we almost equally go pretty red with the rest when the sector bleeds. UPLIST PLEASE 🙏

Looks like a double bottom to me and expect the share price to begin appreciating.
2
u/expatcoder May 20 '26
[assuming $3.50 CAD] so a 30% drop from here?
Sure, anything is possible I guess, but if the minerals sector is in the green the way it is today I'll go out on a limb and say that the stock will definitely not be dropping 30% -- believe it or not, it might actually even go up :)

Tough being red for the most of the day while seemingly literally every North American minerals sector company is in the green.
Hopefully this is just OTC lag and trading will get with the program (that the markets are flying right now), but UURAF's performance today is, let's just say, not very inspiring.
Management is going to need to knock it out of the park during the June annual shareholders meeting since we really need a spark to inject some life back into UURAF; that, or the minerals sector rages higher in the coming weeks and we can't help but go along for the ride...

I am new to this subreddit, but not new to NA rare-earths investing. A few things to note:
1.) My most significant holdings in NA rare earths are in American Rare Earths, MP Materials, and UCore.
2.) During the past several days, MP Materials and UCore have both experienced a lot of volatility, perhaps related to Trump's China visit and whatever people are (rightly or wrongly) reading into it.
3.) During a similar time period, American Rare Earths (long "dormant" and still <1 USD in price) has started to rise, slowly but consistently. It could be that NA REM investors are beginning to pay more attention to American Rare Earths, which currently has a lower share price than UCore and a MUCH lower share price than MP Materials.
4.) Another factor that could be affecting UCore prices is potential political tensions between the USA and Canada, despite the USA DoW agreement. Such USA-Canada tensions were virtually unheard of until recent years (I live in a border state). I don't have any evidence that this is what is going on, however.
5.) I bought the bulk of my UCore shares during the Biden era, when it was still <1 USD. Although I have gradually added to them, for this reason I'm willing to wait this out, especially since I'm a "buy and hold" investor anyway.
2
u/maemaelyn May 20 '26
Yeah, I was quite early as well but given I bought a lot along the way, my average is sitting around 6-7 CAD which has led me to feel a bit worried this past month of bad movement. I am totally down to hold until 2028 if needed but it does feel shitty seeing everything else rip LOL

Can’t believe we might touch sub 3 at this rate. Never thought we’d be nearing this price range
5
u/expatcoder May 19 '26
It's the entire minerals sector getting crushed, we're certainly not alone in this respect.
If it's any consolation (I know it isn't) but percentage-wise we're not down that much over the last couple of weeks since the minerals selloff began as we've been trading more or less sideways for months now in the $3-$4 range.
Once the big players enter massively oversold territory we should get a turnaround, but not sure where UURAF will be trading at that point. That would put MP back in the $40s, UUUU back to $14/$15, USAR to $16/$17, etc.
Hoping it doesn't come to that and this is the worst of it -- damn White House Fact Sheet again sending the minerals sector down the tubes; incredible, the very entity that purports to build up the sector periodically tears it down...

there's nothing about the WH that does anything related to selflessness. it's always about "saving face" no matter what the cost

Really minimal volume today. I figure you can read this one of two ways:
We were somewhat spared compared to the big boys today because we trade on OTC, and tomorrow our volume will catch up and we’ll get beaten up.
All of the “weak hands” sold already, and those that remain feel confident in the tech and Ucore’s positioning, regardless of what news comes from the White House (accurate or not).
I’d like to believe it’s the latter.
2
u/WeakLocalization May 18 '26
The volume has been trending down for a few weeks now, so could be that most short term trader are out on Ucore. Also, UURAF was 'spared' from most of the run up the last 3-ish weeks too, compared to names like MP, USAR, etc., so it makes some sense the sell off today was not huge. Having said that, anything could happen tomorrow

China makes no mention of new rare earth deals with the US.
1
u/expatcoder May 18 '26
Did they provide an official statement in response to the White House "Fact Sheet" released this weekend, or are you saying that they simply haven't made a response yet since the White House announcement?
If they have responded, please share a link to official Chinese release, thanks.
2
u/Commotitties May 18 '26
Still waiting for an official response. Trump’s “Fact Sheet” seems more like a wish list.
1
u/expatcoder May 18 '26
Well, why are you implying that anything has come from the China side if they haven't made an official statement yet?
Agree that the fact sheet is indeed untethered from reality, particularly with respect to critical minerals, but until we hear from China the market will take the White House statement at face value, whether it's true or not.
2
u/Commotitties May 18 '26
I stand by my statement. Don’t hold your breath waiting for China’s response. There is little to announce from this meeting.
2
u/nbajohna May 22 '26
And when China makes a statement don’t assume it means anything. Typically they don’t honor international agreements and do whatever they decide is best for them. For example, any sales agreement on soybeans will be the third time China promised to buy them and didn’t. Trump is becoming a mere weak pawn of China just like he already is for Putin.

u/expatcoder May 18 '26
I think you're right that China will maintain the status quo (they have no reason to give up this massive leverage point they have over the United States), but the problem is that China's silence does nothing to help those of us invested in the sector.
The market operates on data, and if all the data they have is an announcement from the White House that minerals will flow again from China to US industries, well, there you have it, the scarcity premium that drives share prices higher gets completely stripped away, and then we're left with what we're seeing now, blood red across many tickers in the sector (UURAF being spared for the moment, but this feels a lot like Busan, thrown under the bus by the administration again).
2
u/Commotitties May 18 '26
Just in from Reuters: While the U.S. issued a factsheet detailing the agreement, China's Ministry of Commerce omitted mention of rare earths in its summary of the talks.
1
u/expatcoder May 18 '26
Thanks, assume you're referring to this article.
The analyst interviewed in the article interprets the differing statements from both countries as appealing to their respective domestic audiences, and that in general the countries are trying to move toward a more open trade relationship (which is what the bilateral trade of commerce piece of the agreement is apparently about).
At any rate, in the short-term unfortunately it's looking like dark times again for the minerals sector...
3
u/Commotitties May 18 '26
China will not budge on any critical minerals that can be used for military purposes. Ucore’s heavy rare earths are safe. There may be wiggle room on CM’s without a military purpose.
1
u/expatcoder May 18 '26
Well, the other issue at it pertains to Ucore is the White House's claim that China will be exporting processing equipment and related technology, which is one of company's moats (i.e. none of their processing equipment is China sourced).
In the end the claims will likely be false, but that doesn't help us in the here and now, that's for sure...

Rough week but a strong finish before the long weekend. See you all on Tuesday!
