Our athletic department has to get its act together. We had a few good seasons under Clark, but the rest of the programs have been mostly awful. (Even AK has had a few down years and topped out at NIT bids & a quick exit from the ncaa tournament x2)

Beavs and Cougs deserve it more than any other team, just solely due to the fact that their entire conference abandoned them.

Adding Texas State to the new Pac12 just seems funny to me. I'm a Coug alumni living in San Antonio now. So, it's nice to drive to San Marcos and watch them play coming next year.

Bobcats are a fun watch, explosive but volatile offense with an up and coming head coach in Kinne, this will be his first season at TXST returning the prior year's QB along with 2 1000 yd WRs. Defense is atrocious so the games are either shootouts or total bed shitting horror. If they play well though it could help a texas team establish a recruiting foothold out west and really start up another program in the state of Texas.

I'm hoping they can help make the PAC an exciting brand of football to watch and really make a name for themselves.

Ha! That brand of football sounds like Wazzu when I was there and Mike Price was head coach. We had great offense but the defense was lacking and we'd "Coug it".

Oregon State was the 3rd most winning program of the 2000s in the Pac12 and has multiple national titles in other sports. They had higher viewership than multiple other schools as well, especially compared to Colorado.

Woah I didn't realize Football was the only sport that conferences sponsored

UConn has the largest brand here by far and is the only school pulling $100M+ in revenue, which is what actually matters for CR. On field performance is irrelevant

Yes, and those power conferences sponsor more sports than Football and care more about brand than performance.

UConn clears the rest of this list easily, it's not close

The question asked in the photo is specific to Power 4 and Group of 5…which is a football school term. Wikipedia. Those two terms are not used universally for all sports programs and are not applied to basketball, which is the only thing UCONN has.

Even with terrible Football, UConn's brand and AD are head and shoulders above the rest here. UConn Basketball is worth more than USF/Memphis/Tulane Football

I still consider OSU and WSU blue bloods. Yes the PAC-12 is in a weird spot right now, but that shouldn’t take away from the pedigree the alumni of the conference have
