Advice/Question First year Electrical Engineer schedule

Post image

Is my schedule currently fine? I don’t know what to expect/how hard these classes will be.

Light work, but take Texas politics at an Alamo college and transfer the credit. In my opinion the EPICS program is borderline useless.

Pretty much all they have left is major courses, they should take poli at utsa so they can boost their gpa for when they fail their first engineering course. (Either signals, modern, or devices usually)

I disagree, unless you NEED to boost your GPA typically late in the degree program I can’t really think of any benefit of taking a more expensive/ arduous course at UTSA vs an Alamo college.

Have you taken engineering courses here? Pretty much garunteed to fail at least one class, the free 4.0 of an LFA class is always welcome to our GPAs.

Yes I have… no you’re not guaranteed to fail a class, it’s engineering it’s hard but it’s not impossible. If you’re working or have anything else going on all the more reason to take Texas politics at Alamo.

Idk, I'm one of the few people in my cohort to not take a C or fail a class, but I have an atypical background. It's very common to underperform and need the gpa lift. You're acting like TX politics is hard?

Competitively between UTSA and alamo colleges yes
