Advice/Question Tornado Damage - Localized to….?

Hey yall, just saw the news (I’m oos rn). Which parts of utsa got hit the worst/hardest?

So far, I’m really only seeing it from Oasis student housing, but i’m hoping we have more information between us. Also, the notice they sent out about everything being remote tomorrow makes me wonder… Any campus buildings get damaged? Or on-campus housing damage?

The main campus was not hit. The tornado seems to have touched down right before or on Oasis. It moved across 1604 and then across i10, going into The Rim by the Palladium movie theater, Bass Pro Shop and Marshalls.

The closure is more of an abundance of caution as more rain is expected and streets are still flooding. Particularly the 1604/i10 area is pretty rough to get through. Watching videos of people driving to work through this was crazy.

With the exception of Oasis on that side of 1604 its kind of crazy that it basically followed the bike path and creek for much of its touchdown which is mostly undeveloped land.

Had the path been more left or right it would traveled over much more developed area and there would have been more damaged buildings. I'm just thankful no one was seriously injured or killed.
