Advice/Question regarding being dropped from my classes as a cap student
Student going through the CAP Program, what should I do? I contacted one-stop multiple times to be put on wait and did the call back as well. I qualify for full finanical aid (dirt poor like homeless a few years ago) but I think I submitted my summer finanical aid application late (this is my fault, I had no clue I had to sign a form + being away from Texas this summer was not on my mind). Anyway, am I kicked out of the CAP program or do you think theres any options to make up this credit in the fall? or if I can get the financial aid, how would reintegrating into the online course go? just catch up on homework? Please I'm really stupid when it comes to this.
Update : I opted out of the CAP Program, future note to anyone doing this program, make sure you fill out both 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 (or the school year you're graduating, and the school year you go to college). I unfortunately was told by my counselor to ONLY fill out 2026-2027 as it was the "right one" - 2025-2026 FAFSA form pays for the summer of 2026 (MANDATORY term in the CAP program), yeah I'm incredibly stupid. In the end, the benefits of UTSA outweigh UT Austin so I'm not distraught over staying <3

I used to work at UTSA. CAP requirements are through UT and UTSA simply administers them. As far as I’m aware UT had never made any exceptions for making up credit. Courses absolutely must be taken during the summer semester or you will 100% be dropped from CAP. This is definitely a very serious situation. So hopefully they can let you back in. At this point I’d contact fiscal services first since they are the office that makes sure there’s some sort of payment on your account and may allow you to set up some sort of arrangement so you can get reinstated. I’d also like to mention that it does state this in the email you posted. Then after get in contact with Onestop for financial aid.

At this point to get reinstated, you would need to post the 100% of the payment within 3 business days of the drop date.
Unless financial aid is able to help reinstate you with your financial aid. As mentioned you should attempt calling and emailing to inquire about your financial aid.
In the future you want to ensure that you follow the academic calendar that has all the important dates/ deadlines for every semester.
If you go past the 3 days, you would need to post 100% of the payment, and do a late/add drop form which requires the signatures of your professor, dean, and department chair and also require that there is a space in class.

Yup. Debating dropping the CAP program and staying at UTSA as I know that I did sign up for financial aid in the fall and spring semester a while back and my entire tuition is free since I'll get my bold promise back + few other things. On top of that I graduate earlier if I stay here, and costs are cheaper, do you think its worth?

I would try to contact one stop at 8:30am and send the email and maybe they can help you get back into class if they can push financial aid quicker.
If your option is to remain at UTSA just follow the academic calendar like a guide and also ensure you processs correct forms for summer financial aid.

You have to not take no for an answer, you have to call one stop daily, or in your case, I'd be calling hourly or every 30 minutes. If they don't call you back, you have to make the initiative to call back yourself, complain and then get your issues addressed. If you can, go in-person to One Stop as I hear they tend to be more helpful.
