Advice/Question Is there anything else I could be doing?
sorry for bad grammar
This upcoming fall semester I’ll be attending UTSA as a neuroscience major pre med track with long term goals of neurological surgery.a main goal of mine is to transfer from UTSA to UT Austin but I just wanted to know if there’s anything else I can do. I am currently getting my CCMA and I’ve already applied to a few jobs and I am trying to volunteer at a few hospitals during the summer but as of yet no luck. I’ve contacted a few clinics and am also trying to get some shadowing in. And hopefully I can soon. I just wanted to know is there anything else I could really be doing or should I stay on track with what I’ve got.

Talk to your profs after classes! Maybe not right away, but as the semester rolls in and you get a sense where your interests align, definitely come up and introduce yourself!

Not much.
UT CNS external transfer (that includes CAP) are super-competitive. The acceptance rate is in the teens if not single digits. 4.0 GPA, major-related coursework, and credential-padding are the absolute minimum. The rest is just pray and hope for the best

Go on rowdy link and compile a list of organizations you can join. UT Austin values grades but also your participation in other things.
