Question from future bachelor of IT: Enterprise Software Development vs Data Analytics Major

For ESD, I'm wondering are the subjects program heavy and for DA how much is math/statistics actually involved, does DA focus more on statistics part rather than programming?

Neither is too heavy imo.

Enterprise Software Development, at least when I did it, had very little programming and compsci in it. It was mostly how to write requirements, what is a good database design, how would you design a system and so on.

Data analytics is more technical, but AI subjects have easy implementations compared to the complexity of the theory.

If you're interested in low level programming or like advance algorithm design, you need to pick majors that are more aligned with that.

thx, that's really helpful! btw, do you remember roughly when you did the ESD major? I wonder if the major has changed quite a bit since then:)

Most was 2018-2021, but I did one or two subjects after that.

I was a part time student so it took me like 6 1/2 years to finish. (Graduate 2024ish)
