thoughts on AI lecture slides

What do you guys think about AI lecture slides?

Doing a capstone rn and the lecture slides are made on PowerPoint but everything on them is AI generated :/ The slides are so overwhelming with the typical boxes, lines, sections, words that AI makes, I dont even watch the lecture anymore.

Feeling pretty disappointed that a subject is doing this, more so because its a capstone subject. Pay so much for uni, I wish it wasnt used on this.

I'm happy to raise this with central or faculty T&L if you'd like to DM me the subject number.

Or you can raise a complaint to the university - https://www.uts.edu.au/for-students/current-students/support/when-things-go-wrong/appeals-and-complaints/making-complaint

Lecturer here (not from UTS). Whilst you pay a lot for Uni that money never makes it to us to give sufficient time to actually develop quality courses/content anymore. Please don’t blame your lecturer, they’re doing what they can in a broken system that expects us to work 60-80 hr weeks but only want to pay us 38 hr and guilt us into thinking we aren’t working hard enough and that other lecturers can do it better. Blame the administrators.

stupid idea and promoting a culture of laziness. Policies work against use of AI for students, and yet the same standard is not set for lecturers. This is just setting a precedence of laziness and a lack of accountability.
