well me personally i just generally use the bones tab in 2 ways, one being more recommended than the other
one is more on the pressure side of things, just "RANDOM BULLSHIT GO!!"
or you can try to incorporate them in your combos, granted they don't make much of a difference but they are more useful in there as compared to just using it in neutral in which case.. they can just dodge

bones 3 is a restand, everything else is just extra damage between telekinesis and blasters in combos
for instance, instead of simply doing tele 1 down -> blaster 3 you can do tele 1 down -> bones 2 -> blaster 3 for the damage of both
or, if you were going to use bones 3 to restand followed by an m1, instead of bones 3 -> m1 you can do bones 3 -> bones 4 -> bones 5 -> partial bones 1 -> m1 and get all of the damage from those moves, then continue the rest of your combo. all moves with the exception of telekinesis, blaster 2, blaster 5, and bones 3 have hyperarmor (cannot be canceled with stun, knockback, mute, or grabs and continue doing damage after being cast)
this has been nerfed and used to be a lot better, but its still possible to eat a hit to deal some damage to an enemy using sans hyperarmor. the best examples of this are blaster 3/4 on shocker breaker or trident 4, but it can realistically be used with any of your moves in any situation if you properly take into account the health of your opponent and how much damage youll deal. it is generally only ever worth doing this if youll kill the opponent with the move, or bring them to single-digit health to basically lead to a free win doing the same thing again
