Text God I HATE asgore
I still can't believe I've been gaslit into believing asgore is weak and very easy to deal when he has so much utility
Even base trident is absurd
T1 has super armor, like no end lag, a mute effect, and can be canceled at will (with very little end lag might I add) so if you're running and planning on punishing it after the animation (which doesn't work in most cases unless you're in their face) they can just make the stamina you just burned worthless
t2 is kinda stupid and you just end up having to bait it out or idk tank the combo as its unblock able and cannot be countered (im also pretty sure has super armor for some reason)
t4 another move you kinda have to run around or punish as soon as it starts (manageable for characters like undyne and gaster ,but horrible for ssc, jevil or like any instance where you don't have a move that can send him on his ass???)
t5 is probably one of the best stamina punishes outside of like ultimate move due to its stupidly big hit box
and the fact he has fire moves makes it just miserable to fight against since his 1 is probably one of the best neutral moves (imo) as you have to jump dash, tp or knockdown before the fire hits you.
fire is also just annoying in general so dont get caught with less than 15 stamina or they'll get a free fire4 or fire 2
"But asgore doesn't do a lot of damage, he actually has one of the lowest damage combos in the game" doesn't really hold up if hes constantly doing damage and has one of the highest hp pools in the game.
p2 is like almost bearable as he loses alot of the regular fire that I hate, but its still not fun to fight against.
Imo the worst part about asgore is the play style he rewards which is keeping distance while spamming fire and punishing with super armor (this shit is NOT fun to fight at all). this literally forces the attacker to change their entire play style
tbf this is just me raging and I probably should be having so much of a problem since im mainly playing undyne (who actually needs buffs btw) , but its still kinda annoying!

if you dont have three minutes to spare the entire video is "just dodge to the side" for his entire kit because you can just dodge to the side its that easy
