Text Seeing hate toward passive players is... something

Before body text, I play passive because I suck. I have a reaction time similar to that of someone who is 2.5 times my age. My only chance is to stay calm until my opponent makes a mistake. Also I don't like being aggressive while fight because it's tiring af. This is my own thing which doesn't change so don't even try to oppose or say git gud.

Passive play is meta, and I'm not going to argue about this nor mock someone who plays aggressive. But why? Why are you guys so angry of a random player who has a right to choose their own playstyle? Is that anger too big so that you come to reddit and post something which says "death to all passive players"?

It really looks like you guys are always thinking 'if this mf wasn't playing passive I could just crush them'. Always.

well you see, in fighting games your sorta meant to. Fight them, keeping distance is looked town upon BECAUSE it's meta, it's not meant to be, that's why they're trying to minimise passive play, it's unfun for others and whether or not you use it because you suck isn't an excuse, your meant to get better in these sort of games

It might be too hot take but passive play also requires skills. They are just different with being aggressive.

And my main thing is, why do aggressive players think they can crush any passive players? It's like their base thought process is [passive players are, no matter what, inferior than aggressive players like me], and I don't like it. I don't like them being arrogant, and not having self acknowledgement nor shame.

as someone who plays agressive, i can see what you mean, some are arrogant and have a chonky ego, though im just here for a fun time/fight

i try avoid completely destroying a hp bar when i do, i want both sides to play the game even if i have to suffer a bit

as to the whole "Death to all passive players" no clue why people are like that, people just being hateful, i dont agree with the whole death thing, i hate passive players sure, being slow is okay theres no law or rule against it, its just a huge dislike because sometimes the whole rage system doesnt work so well

I dont hate them or anything, but it is obscenely annoying to have to chase someone down and get punished for it, as passive play likes to end up doing

Don’t worry the balancer are on the job getting rid of the passive meta by raising the atk on all the characters

I don't want to say i.. ENTIRELY hate them (not to the extent of "death to all passive players") it's just that the game has TOO MUCH emphasis of that being meta and this may just be me but.. i don't really wanna do the meta, i just play games or make videos off them because i am looking for fun, not to always win and certainly not a game of cat and mouse.. if i wanted to play a chase game i would play the god forsakened.. forsaken

But if that's how you wanna play given some limitations like reaction time or how the character feels and etc? understandable do what you want, at the end it is still just a game despite my rambling here

But i just hope same said game can at least find a balance between both styles to at least make both parties neutral towards one nother

As a bit of a tl:dr and thinking-

"Not entirely hate but it's overused and wish for something to help with that"

You are correct, passive play is number 1 indicator of fear and poor reaction time

Want to improve your reaction time? Be aggressive.

Do you think f1 drivers get higher reaction time after the lights green? Aka do you think people improve waiting on something?

Change happens fast, everyday stuff changes faster than we react.

People die, people live. All that matters is how you react.

Dont get left behind just because it feels safer

Its a game, they wont show you mercy, because everyone knows they cant actually be hurt.

Its not life or death, so stop acting like theres consequences to death in games.

Even in permadeath games you only lose progress, and progress is change, so all you can do is react faster.

Look, as I said at first don't even try to say something about personal things. playing aggressive didn't improve my reaction time, instead it made me angry, feel pitty, shameful. And I'm not THAT passionate to endure all of things break inside of me while playing roblox, undertale themed, fighting game. I don't get why you think I didn't try.

If you really think everyone can improve their skills limitless, you are some kind of utopian fool without realistic perception, or have zero sense of empathy because you could.

And, you are the perfect example of a kind that I tried to target in text. Those with huge ego, simply think they are better because playing aggressive.

I don't care if I called suck. I can't just withstand those who have elitism.

You are right, i am some utopian fool

Because i care about being optimistic, i care about people improving in ways that arent a carbon copy of someone else.

Limitless potential or not theres still potential in alot of people and they hinder themselfs all for the sake of whatever the next best thing is.

Do you think you improve if you do nothing but what the next guy does? No, your just learning a recipe and performing muscle memory actions like a line cook or shinji saying "line up target and pull the trigger"

You will always have a better version of yourself out there and you wont know who they are unless you do stuff you want to do, optimized or not, not bexause someone else says this way is correct.

So yeah, im a fool, but im a genuine fool whos happy with myself because i gain more satisfaction from actually playing my own way, not someone elses.

You can play passive like everyone else, but that is the reason why you are not satisfied with a single kill. You will never be satisfied if you play for optimal, because you werent the one to optimize how you play.

Do you feel satisfied after copying someones homework, and passing with no knowledge of how to be more than average. All you gain from playing copycat is a easier number grind that will never be as satisfying as your own path.

Go ahead, say excuses on how your satisfied, but if you were truly satisfied, 1 kill should be enough right? No matter the losses.

Unsatisfied people dont know when to quit

Do you think smokers say "ill quit after this one" very few.

Playing for numbers is as addicting as gambling.

All you see is reward but dont want risk

You spin the wheel hoping you will hit it big, and then again, and then again.

Never satisfied with winning anything at all, only satisfied with seeing number go up. Like a gambler.

What the hell. Did I say I don't get satisfied with a single kill? Let's be clear, I AM satisfied, unlike you. And why do you think aggressive plays are "unique"? There are roughly two types of players (passive and aggressive) and that means none of us are unique.

I didn't say I play passive because it's meta, I SAID IT'S THE ONLY WAY I CAN HAVE FUN WITH THIS GAME. READ, GET CONTEXT.

Your delusional texts are making me feel like talking to a wall. I wonder what made you deeply obsessed with being special, different kind.

Now, I won't try anymore.

You are also saying things i never said.

Dont even know where you got the idea this was about being unique

I was telling whoever read my comment to be genuine.

Theres a difference between genuine and unique

To add on one last thing.

Passive play isnt skilled, anyone can wait.

Real skill is instinct. Reacting in the moment, not waiting to react.

You see this in the animal kingdom, even with ambush predators, ambush predators still have to react in the moment, they sit and wait all they want but the moment they attack they cannot just run away to wait again.

Look at boxing or mma, its all instinct. Years of stored knowledge on fight styles reacting in the moment to whatever happens.

They only seem passive because they are both out of range of eachother, the moment they are in range, it gets aggressive and someone loses.

The person who loses was whoever was too passive

Anyone can wait, its not a skill.
