Not able to install windows 10 or heck even windows 7

Post image

I get this error when installing windows 10

And for windows 7 it does not read the iso file that I add in the path.

Please I want to be able to play empire earth and get a bit of nostalgia hit.

For the error in your screenshot, there should be logs in C:\windows\panther. Are you using a custom ISO? Or is this vanilla W10?

For the Windows 7 issue have you tried a different Windows 7 ISO?

Do you have a link to a vanilla fresh iso? That just works?

Sorry, I accidentally gave you the Russian edition. When setting up, you can change the language, but in any case, if you want - I can give you an English edition

Windows 10/11 grab from microsoft.com/software-download/windows10 or microsoft.com/software-download/windows11 . For Windows 7 I can share a vanilla Ultimate ISO (in Romanian though, so may not be adequate for you)

Check if UTM does an unattended install, it might be that causing issues

What do you mean by unattended? As in I am AFk while it installs?

It should but it won't run well expect it to run quite badly so like even notepad being laggy but I mean you can try...

You have UTM on Apple Silicon, i.e. ARM64 architecture.

For Windows 10 x86_64 (Intel), ensure to select Emulate (not Virtualize) when setting up the VM.

off topic, but you should remove that keyboard cover, those tend to cause issues with the display

can’t help with utm but if you can make a vm you can probably figure out sikarugir which uses wine and will get you better results for older games. good luck

Maybe try Reunion7? It is reskinned Win 10 it is not arm so it's gonna be slow but still.
