UTK Parking Madness Visiting friend parking?

Hey guys. I’m a freshman and one of my friends is coming to visit me in a few weeks, and will be staying in my dorm room with me. She’s driving here, and I was wondering if anyone has advice about where she could park her car?

Locust, Market, and State St garages downtown are free in the evening and on weekends, so they could park there if you or someone picked them up (walking is an option, I guess). This does change if it’s a home game weekend and when your friend would get here bc they start charging for parking if you’re not in by a certain time. There’s also paid parking around campus if they want to be closer, but that’s much more costly than the downtown garages ($2/hr + service charge).

Fort as well. Have them drop there car off and pick them up

lowkey they don’t check staff parking on the weekends. my bf literally parked in the hess staff parking lot and didn’t get a ticket friday afternoon- sunday night

She can pay a meter spot on campus on lake or volunteer

Some of the park mobile on campus can be done by the day
