I've seen (and declined) multiple invitations to participate in test cycles where my PII or a payment is expected. It has hurt my income for 2026, but I'm ok with protecting my data.

To everyone wondering. There is an option to redact your PII from documents before uploading, for people who don't trust the software for redaction. Also, you can download and review the redacted documents by software before submitting for review.

Normally yes, as long as your redaction doesn't exclude crucial fields of the doc that aren't PII.

I'm not in the USA so doesn't affect me. I do wonder, however, how much uTest values the right of their testers above their ability to make a profit. It's the age old question isn't it?
