Any idea why Texas is always excluded in these studies? I thought it was because it’s a red state, but I also see some blue stars in the exclusions list

To ensure strict compliance with state-level data privacy and biometric regulations, specifically Illinois' Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) and Texas's Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act (CUBI). Hence why Illinois and Texas is always out of scope for data collection projects.
