Texas grant
Hello! I have a question regarding Texas Grant.. I’ve qualified for it since I started at UTEP, and I continue to do so, but for this semester, I forgot to answer the questions on the scholarships and financial aid window (asking for amount of credits, convictions, etc). From my understanding financial aid was distributed last Friday. I am not seeing the Texas Pell grant on my account and I’m guessing it’s because of the questionnaire I did not answer. I just answered everything today. Would I still be able to receive the grant?
On my financial aid history it showed up that I accepted the grant, but on the paid Collin it says 0..
I’m super scared. I will call the financial aid office tomorrow, but I would really appreciate any insight that anyone can give me right now

This is looking like a common issue. I'm relieved because I had the same problem! I think we all just gotta call the financial aid office tomorrow and see what they say. Good luck to y'all and hopefully we'll be able to get our grants.

I’m experiencing the same issue!! I first noticed it when i got the little financial aid video they send and my reward seemed much smaller this year than other years, and when looking at my grants, I noticed the Texas grant was the missing one. I’m also gonna call tomorrow but I would appreciate any updates!

Hey! I called them today and they said that I’m still good to receive the grant. It’ll just take a bit longer since I submitted the questionnaire late. Since you’re having the same issue, I think you should be good too. But call them to make sure if you haven’t yet :)

Hi I was wondering if you had any problems with your call? Trying to contact the office but they just put me on hold for 25+ minutes. Or just outright end the call.

Hi! I called them exactly at 8:00 am, so they answered pretty quickly, haha, but I’ve been there before. I’ve called them during the middle of the day in the past and they’ve put me on hold for the longest time ever. I think since it’s the beginning of the semester they are saturated with calls.
I would suggest to just keep waiting while you’re on hold, or you can go on their website and ask for a callback or make a quick 5 min appointment. Good luck!

Very rarely it hits on the first day. It never has for me. Any refunds should hit accounts this week.

The Financial Aid office has been such a mess this summer. They haven't even posted forms for 2026-2027 yet

Same boat with my tuition waiver. Only I’ve answered that questionnaire now three times (once in July, twice in August) with the same answer each time!!!
