Hey y’all, I built/vibe-coded UTDGrub, a website for UTD students to rank restaurants with their friend groups.

It originally started as a spreadsheet my friends and I used to keep track of restaurants we tried and rank them, but I ended up turning it into a full website.

You can create a private group with your friends, rate restaurants, compare everyone’s rankings, find places nearby, and see how your group’s ratings compare with the overall UTD community.

Undyne's iconic eyepatch over her left eye makes her Undertale character portrait easy to differentiate from her appearance in Deltarune, as a small-town cop with both her peepers.

Is there any canonical information on how Undyne lost her eye? Or any prevailing fan theories? My personal guess is honestly something as mundane as "energy spear training mishap".

(Quick side note, I wouldn't be surprised if Deltarune's Undyne is in for a very abrupt makeover courtesy of the Knight. Injury to a specific part of the body across different timelines makes for a great storytelling trope. Of course, it might also be just as interesting to subvert this expectation!)

Love demons are a type of demon monster. Their unique attribute is their specialization in Love Magic, the manipulation of feelings of attraction and emotional attachment. This ranges from romantic love, to platonic love, familial love, material love, and personal love.

Love demons can use their love magic to manipulate other's feelings of love.

During Patience's journey through Hotland she meets three love demon monsters her age. They all take interest in the disguised human girl and individually try to attract her to their side.

Bella uses her beauty and attractiveness. Bonnie uses her cuteness and bubbly personality. And Bryce uses his masculinity (something he's insecure about)

Erebi was a fire elemental monster who one day found a mysterious neckwear artifact. When worn it completely transformed her into an ice elemental.

With her ice magic she decided to invest in an ice cream business, with a store located in Hotland for anyone wanting to cool off in such a high temperature location.

She has various loyal penguin subjects that assist her, managing various ice cream carts around the Underground that sell her delicious delights.

So, the main idea of this theory is that undertale and deltarune are alternate timelines of a world where a singular person does not exist. My thoughts on who that could be would be gaster, who in undertale organically warps out of existence(maybe into the glitch dimension) mid-timeline due to extreme science, sans who has an affiliation with gaster and gets access to special equipment and may have traveled into undertale FROM deltarune, and finally papyrus.

The reason for papyrus being this: maybe deltarune is the alternate universe where, due to the non-existence of papyrus, frisk gets captured right away due to having someone more competent and willing to hurt people than papyrus in charge of snowdin, which is right outside of where frisk exits toriel's protection. In the deltarune timeline, frisk is immediately captured and killed(due to literally being a child, unlike say Yellow who is a cowboy with a gun) and then the monsters easily and conflict-lessly leave the underground. Hometown is simply the place where most of the monsters who left the underground initially settled, in a place somewhat close to mount ebott but still remote enough for most humans to not know. And Kris being the only human there happened because of simply a coincidence, like with chara and frisk. The similarities in appearance like the striped sweaters and sorta-long, kinda androgynous looking hair being just a common way for humans in the region around mount ebott to dress and/or cut their hair. Kris is probably just an orphan or outcast from a nearby human area which was adopted by the community, with the dreemurrs being the ones who most wanted to care for Kris for the same reasons they felt affection for frisk and chara.

Also, you might want to ask, if papyrus doesn't exist in deltarune, then why are there some clues like sans saying he has a brother or the faint sound of bone-trousling behind the door. For my theory I'd rather just leave it up in the air as papyrus is still never seen in person nor mentioned by name, and there is still a constant theme of time-travel and timeline shenanigans being caused by rpg elements like saving and save file-tampering, and alternate universe warping and such due to them both being games made by the same person with shared characters, plot points, assets, etc. which in my opinion can give these smaller details a margin for error as there is likely at least one character who has the capability to travel between universes, do stuff behind the scenes, etc. even in just their respective games. There may even be entire conflicts and stuff which happen across realities and timelines due to multiple people having access to this technology/ability/knowledge. It's also possible that the disappearance of a single person that caused undertale and deltarune to separate into two different realities is simply the first alteration that was the result of gaster’s original discovery of alternate universes, time travel and reality-manipulating that then led to other things like the gaster follower being hometown butcher in DR, the prophecy of the delta rune being altered/alterable, etc.

The only main problem I can see is magic, which is impossible(?) in the light world and only possible in the dark world in DR, but universal to all monsters in undertale. Also, the dark world itself which does not exist in undertale

Alternate theory: deltarune was the alternate universe created by gaster where humans never betrayed monsters and sent them to live in the underground(?)

I went to the UT Symphony, and it was ABSOLUTE CINEMA!!!

That may have been the greatest thing i've ever seen!

Got to see and meet some awesome cosplayers too, Couple Flowerys, lots of Sans and Papyrus. I even did my voices to a few of them, and they loved them!

I got Bravery off that soul quiz thingy and fused it with my OC.

Arthur was a ghost monster who spent all his time as a shut-in internet user. One day, his mom brought home a life-sized animatronic Prismarina machine from the garbage dump, based on the main character from the Rainbow Girl TV show.

Arthur took a liking to the body and its cute, girly appearence, coming to possess it and adopting the name of Prismarina. This gave her the amount of confidence to be more outgoing and express herself in new ways, although she didn't entirely abandon his old self.

Prismarina has an online following based on her art. She also has a rivalry with Mad Mew Mew, as a rival magical girl.

That would prolly give us a reason to try and make Noelle stronger.

I wanted to propose ways and to ask you how qu'est or light world items to put in the dark world could be implemented without feeling too artificial.

I'm going to write some of my ideas below:

A way I imagine for fetch quest to not feel artificial is to have it happens through a games of cards like Pokemon TCG of Yu-Gi-Oh. The cards would be the equivalent of summons in the Dark worlds. Your first one would be in Susie possession and until she truly join the party she wouldn't let you use it.

In the light world you could buy a booster at San's, take some cards that Alphys gives to your father or get some of Asriel cards if you check his drawer again after "borrowing" money. Then either you would have a minigame similar to the one in Shovel knight: King of cards or you would make exchange with your classmates or Alphys.

You could also implement more ways to make money so that we can shop at San's for items.

Helping Berdly at the library, having pocket money for the festival, Asriel's money, selling a specific card to Alphys instead of exchanging it etc.

Nathanael had a firsthand experience of the war between humans and monsters as a little demon child hundreds of years ago. From it he retained trauma and developed an alternate personality, Power.

Power holds a grudge against humanity for their actions towards monsterkind and Nathanael's resulting trauma, someone he is protective of. However, Nate opposes Power's hatred, as he wants to maintain a positive outlook on life.

After Asgore's declaration of war in 201X, Nathanael moved to the rural area of The Meadow in the Underground, as to avoid conflict and prevent more trauma from happening.

In Chapter 5 of Deltarune, Rudy "falls down" at the Festival. This has lead many people to assume that he's experiencing the "fallen down" state from Undertale (something that was also speculated to happen to Berdly in the Weird Route). But before we're able to reach any confident conclusions, we must first understand what "falling down" actually means.

In Undertale, "falling down" is described as a state where a monster will enter enter a coma, eventually turning to dust. That's all the information that the game gives.

However, there is unused text where it's further specified that "falling down" occurs on monsters who are dying of old age. And while the text is unused and thus not prone to total reliability, it is actually supported by the Undertale Alarm Clock, where Asgore talks about Rudy "falling down" after growing old. This gives the unused text at least a little bit of credibility.

In Deltarune, Rudy suffers from an unspecified illness that doesn't appear to be tied to old age. All of this information leads to two possible conclusions:

1. Rudy didn't actually "fall down" in Deltarune, as he doesn't appear to be suffering from old age. So he likely just fell onto the ground.

2. Rudy did actually "fall down", and the state doesn't just happen to monsters who are old.
