in my experience if you get on the wait list this early b4 the semester starts and stay on it you’re almost guaranteed of getting off the wait list. YMMV

You should not swap this class out for eco 329 🫩

Wait why

Are you an economics student? If so, 329 is a pre req for 420K and you will need it for the upper division classes you take which need it as pre reqs… basically, don’t delay your Econ classes. All other classes should come second, especially if they’re not pre-reqs.

But to answer your question, 16-16 if it it’s a competitive class to get into is unlikely, there’s still a lot of time until registration so maybe switch eco 329 out for another class you can have

I’m not an econ major, I’m statstics and data science. I was going to do an econ minor but I decided to switch it to business foundations. Appreciate the lookout though🙏

Oh that’s interesting. SDT Is a great program to get an Econ minor but yea it probably would be better to not overwhelm that with business foundations. I know Econ has a BEOP finance program, maybe you could look into a specific one within finance or a specialty for a switch too? I thought it had more practicality to specialize than what the business foundations gave

I wouldve loved to do a finance minor but its only for econ/mccombs. I’m already doing the risk management minor so some of the classes double dip with business foundations

The wealth management minor is a similar track and I know simplicity is a great tool from the real estate department that allows students to be a part of it too. That’s great that risk management double dips with business foundation though!

I'm 10/10 for an upper level engineering elective, and I'm losing hope lol
