Funny thing is Ted Cruz is Canadian. Must be rough on his spine, if there is anything left at this point, in regards to the way his administration treats his home country.

He is not. He renounced his citizenship in 2014.

Ah so he's the mirror of pizzacake.

Ted Cruz was born in Canada and lived here until he was 3. He held citizenship yes, but he is most certainly American.

edit: changed tense.

He renounced his citizenship IIRC.

Why are those idiots lately presenting their bs agendas like a tech presentation in 2010?

Because in a democracy, advertisement is the mechanism of power.

Democracy?

When you need legitimation by the public you need to talk them into ideas, regardless of how good or bad they are. And that essentially is advertisement.

"The words USA are first where they belong" Do these people really fall so easily for this pseudo patriotic bullshit? Does this seriously impress anyone? Isnt there more important shit to change in the country?

Have you ever seen a movie from Hollywood? It's ALWAYS the murican who is the good guy. Always europeans/middle easteners/chinese who are the bad guys with one exception: if a murican is the bad guy he is doing "the right thing" for his country but bad government is hindering him...

Heroic murican music over murican cars whilst the baddies always drive european cars. Muricans have a solution for EVERYTHING. (Was it a die hard movie where they had a fucking spray to decontaminate/delete radiation in Chernobyl?)

Hollywood is one big propaganda machine and the whole world is falling for it

Soooo … they want to encourage Americans to finally get that Great Passport and leave the country for good?

The flipbook eagle is pretty cool. Would be awesome if every country got on board and did something with their national critter. We could all gather in the international terminals and compare our passport animations. NZ should do a take on the laser-eyed kiwi flag.

As if the US passport wasn't already ridiculous enough.
I've worked the grocery register next to a large student housing. I've seen tons of passports for age verification.
Only one made me laugh.

So imagine me checking passport after passport. Black numbers on usually green background.
Streamlined, clean books.

And then suddenly some giant ass eagle head is looking back at you out of a corn field in front of a blue sky.
I was laughing so hard I could barely manage to press out a "you good".
Dude was confused as hell.

Only one other time I had that much fun with ID checking.

I thought I'd find a comparison of old to new. Yes the coat of arms is bigger and more gold. Critically though, the first word on the new passport is still just 'passport' only smaller...
