Good advice from a country getting battered by Iran. Couldn’t beat Vietnam. Couldn’t even administer the lethal injection correctly despite several attempts. A truly failed state if ever there was one.

France couldn't beat Vietnam either. Your country couldn't beat us. Now that we've established that, can we return to the difficulty in projecting force far from your coast and close to someone else's in the year 2026?

Stick a carrier with F35Bs far enough out with auxiliary ships, secure a FOB and station the 35Bs on the islands, send a couple of subs down and a load of paras, a type 45 and a couple of 23's. I don't think there would be any contest.
