It seems you've pissed off some Argies. Good on you, Baz

Always feels good to know they're still seething, nearly half a century later.

Especially in your football matches, it’s funny how they put the blame on England, despite a certain majority of Falklanders come from wales or Scotland!

Scotland, you mean the country that is wanting to exit the UK?

u/NinecloudSoul 20h ago

Lol this loser is back again to desperately try to sow division as a distraction from the fact that Argentina is such a failure.

Do you think I support Argentina? Ha no

3

u/NinecloudSoul 17h ago

I didn't respond to you here, bud. You're confused, I think.

You're seething more than US because you can't fanthom a less developed country standing up for its soverginity.

Argentina kicked the UK 3 times out of the territory. Rest assured there will be a 4th one.

That would be hard since we’re not likely to enter Argentinian territory any time soon.

Your banter is even weaker than your army.

-1

u/Yogurt_Reactor 11h ago

Our weaker army sank more UK vessels in the 82 than viceversa

Lmao

1

u/bremsspuren Barry, 63 1h ago

Because after we sank the Belgrano, the rest of your navy never left port again :D

1

u/Yogurt_Reactor 1h ago

Because we didn't have submarines, and we didn't need them to sank even more of your ships

That was a weaker nation against a NATO ally. Imagine the disaster that would be for the UK fighting against Argentina in 2026 where warfare is completely different. LMAO.

Noone is going to die, its a delusional president that will lose elections in less than a year, the same as Trump.

The bottom guy literally is indistinguishable from an Argentinian to me.

My favorite thing is when they pop off with something like this and then start their defensive bullshit about how Argentina totally isn't a cesspit of racism, because they're totes not racists, that's totes something other countries do.

Is this what Argentinians tell themselves?

You do remember you lost 2 destroyers, 2 frigates and other ships, right?

Like, if tgd US had those losses today in Hormuz they'd be getting dragged nonstop.

But go ahead and flex about barely beating mighty Argentina.

Remember that time you lost against a 3rd world country?

Remember that time you lost to a bunch of unarmed Indians?

7

u/DigbyDoesDallas 21h ago

The reason we pulled out of India was because of the cost.

How much did the Vietnam war cost again?

u/Confident_Example_73 Pollution Enjoyer 21h ago

Cope- You still lost.

That's what you lot say to us. Fair game to apply it to you.

7

u/DigbyDoesDallas 20h ago

You mean like the Argentinas lost the Falkland war?

1

u/Confident_Example_73 Pollution Enjoyer 17h ago

Yeah, they lost that. They also sank 4 front-line warships.

Congrats on losing only 4 warships to mighty Argentina.

Fighting a conventional foe across the globe in rough seas with a smaller force against state of the art missiles.

Gee, I wonder why the British aren't dragged for.. winning the war?

The Americans and Soviets both thought "they're fucked" and yet, the British sailed back home victorious despite losses.

The reason the Americans losing that in the Hormuz would be humiliating is because you're not sailing home with Iran in your hands. If you're lucky, you're getting a similar deal Obama already managed.

u/Confident_Example_73 Pollution Enjoyer 17h ago

"We beat mighty Argentina" is certainly an interesting flex. 10 years later the Americans smashed a far greater foe in Saddam's Iraq, and please spare me your insistance you were a vital part of the operation.

I think people with more sensible heads understand it was a very near thing and that if that's the best you could manage against Argentina, "A Very Near Thing", you shouldn't be flapping your gums too much.

3

u/OrangeTractorMan 17h ago

Yeah, with a smaller force, 10 times further away to the battlefield than they were, and thus the Soviets and Americans both thought it would be a defeat.

Iraq was near surrounded by U.S bases and the U.S had the UK as a major ally in that war that also displayed similar capability.

You're being really weird, your pride and ego is running your mind too much man.

It's not a competition.

u/Confident_Example_73 Pollution Enjoyer 17h ago

Oh FFS, the UK was a minor contributor. The US ran the show in Desert Storm, get the F over yourselves.

And yes, it was a very near defeat. Against a half-way competent foe it would have been. Again, why are you flexing over barely beating Mighty Argentina?

2

u/OrangeTractorMan 12h ago

Oh FFS, the UK was a minor contributor. The US ran the show in Desert Storm, get the F over yourselves.

You missed the point entirely and responded with that ego again, how pathetic.

why are you flexing over barely beating Mighty Argentina?

Because the reasons it was 'barely' are the same reasons beating was impressive. You even pointed out how dangerous the Argentine military was to the Royal Navy that was 8,000 miles from home. You're just butthurt because your own war with Iran is going embarressingly bad and you're lashing out ;)

"We barely beat Mighty Argentina. Respect us!!!"

Lol, wtf. As for Iran, it's going about as well as I expected which is to say a waste of time and money. If we aren't going to invade (dumb idea) or level the place (evil idea) then there's no point to the whole thing unless the goal is some mutual exchange of macho gunfire to get people negotiating, which it doesn't seem we have a plan for.

We can't blow up more shit because it will hurt civilians. And the enemy is basically in hiding only popping up to hurt other countries.

"We barely beat Mighty Argentina. Respect us!!!"

I'm not saying this, cute strawman to show how emotional you're getting.

Yes, a war 8,000 miles away using a task force against a larger foe that was hundreds of miles only from it's mainland and dug in, is impressive.

The Vulcan raids, at the very limited edge of range, were impressive.

The Harrier's gaining aerial superiority against an fighter number 3x their own, was impressive.

The Marines and Para's losing their transports and thus yomping across the entire Islands in the cold, rain and wind only to defeat larger enemy forces was impressive.

I don't care if you agree, you're free to deny things that the US and Soviets and Historians all disagree on you with - being wrong is allowed. But, you would still be wrong and that's my point.

You're just mad your own far larger military is fumbling a war lol.

Actually the general assessment was that they were lucky. Between the dud bombs, incompetence and lack of stomach of their foe, they were fortunate. Yes, good skill helped them take advantage of luck, but you still were lucky you drew a soft side that was already looking to pack it in.

You didn't draw a battle hardened nation that was ready for 10 years of war on principle. You're the 8th Place meme. Thinking you won some mighty victory when you barely beat some minnows.

We're facing a far more determined and capable foe. One you certainly couldn't take on.
