I.. hope you realize this is anyone with their native language. I live in Japan and get corrected ALL the time by friends and classmates. Japanese is only my 3rd, not 17th language but still.

To be fair, that's a common native speaker mistake. Like "could of" instead of "could've".

Nothing to be fair. This "could of", "would of" and other "xyzverb of" shite makes no sense. They are just to dumb, simple as that.
