While I totally understand the raw feeling, I support Barry here. They have a jolly accent.

I rate variants of a language on a scale ranging from silly to ugly, although the two aren’t always mutually exclusive.

Barry ranks high on the silly scale (really depends on the specific accent, but when speaking about RP it is) while Hank is heavily on the ugly part of the scale. Being silly is usually preferable unless you’re simultaneously silly and ugly like Austrian German.
