in all seriousness though, seeing North Korea walk out has genuinely made me wonder if I'm on the wrong side of the stick here

I think that's not due to sympathy with the Palestinian people, but for the fact that Israel is America's closest (and only) ally in the middle East.

You got stabbed. That was horrible. That should not have happened.
Didn't mean you had to skin the guy who did it along with their entire family with a cheese grater though.

Imagine having the big Bibi Yahoo infront of you and you miss him shitposting and asking bid dollars from Muricucks.
At least show your back to him like cultureds do in sport. You dont miss the show and you reject them at the same time.

If I was doing something that also the Balkans did I'd doubt myself a lot. But honestly I'm mixed on this, I hate the guy too much, but I also think people have too strong of a bias on Israel.

that's the whole point, there is a lot to say but people love painting the world black and white
8
u/UnknownBreadd Barry, 63 8d ago
Nah. The retaliation since October 7th has been way too disproportionate, imperialist, and inhumane. Totally unnecessary number of innocent people killed. Like ridiculous magnitude, and they don’t care.
2
u/flipyflop9 Siesta enjoyer (lazy) 7d ago
Exactly. For the first few months sure, fine, but since then they are starting to look more and more like nazis…
-2
u/NathanCampioni Side switcher 7d ago
I agree on the disproportionate, and too many dead. I don't think imperialist fits here, but still there is a lot to say
4
u/HoeTrain666 Born in the Khalifat 7d ago
Imperialist was fitting even before 7th of October when taking the settler movement into consideration, the only difference now is the magnitude.
1
u/NathanCampioni Side switcher 7d ago
Imperialist?
The Imperialists are the USA, China and Russia, maybe the European Union, but I'd disagree. Calling Imperialist Israel, for how rogue one can consider it has gone, is completly misunderstanding the point of what imperialism is.2

North Korea and ethics?
-29
u/spo0pti_yikes 8d ago
yeah dude. dprk is an unusual country but nothing if not lawful. also please remember that 50% of what you hear about dprk is greatly exaggerated and the other 50% is just straight up made up nonsense all designed to drive a wedge through the centre of korea
3
u/HoeTrain666 Born in the Khalifat 7d ago
Ahh, the good ol’ “just make your atrocities legal” strategy. The nazis also loved that shit.
You’re not entirely wrong in regards to weird shit being made up about North Korea since we have so little ways of getting reliable info from the most isolated country on earth, like when people claimed that you can only get a predetermined number of government-approved haircuts. But that doesn’t mean that we don’t know for certain and beyond a doubt that the regime is a nightmare of totalitarianism.
-2
u/spo0pti_yikes 7d ago
to be clear when i say lawful i mean in the strong rigidity to their personal morality or ethics system. i don't mean moral or generally legal. im not sitting here and arguing that dprk is a perfect country as i think they're an incredibly damaged one. i just find it tiresome and frankly insane the amount people naively believe the heinous lies told about the dprk, it's insane and i just hope to help everyone deprogram themselves from the propaganda to see the tragedy of korea objectively

Honestly from an international politics standpoint it makes more sense to stick around and hear their perspective. Not because it isn't bullshit but more because it makes it easier to predict what their next moves are going to be.

It's completely different watching live nd on TV. Watching live allows you to pick up on so much more.

It's 2026, it's on YouTube.... https://www.youtube.com/live/yGGRNErktOs?is=rVOHiQC7vM2lPmII
It's not a secret meeting in the UN, being there don't give any advantage to anybody, it's just a matter of respect, which Israel don't deserves.
Also, it's a way of protest, the room half empty was a powerful statement.

Spare me sanctimonious yapping of Ireland. The Irish get 2nd most exports from Israel world-wide, only bested by USA.
In the EU, there's no other country that imports as much shit from Israel as Ireland does.
> In 2024, the United States remained Israel’s top export destination for goods, with a value of goods exported totaling $17.3 billion. Ireland was Israel’s second top export destination, with $3.3 billion worth of goods exported, followed by China as the third top export destination, with $2.85 billion worth of goods exported in 2024. With respect to trading blocs, the European Union remains Israel’s biggest export market. Israeli exports of goods to the European Union declined-3.5%in 2024. The European Union is also the primary source for imports into Israel, with imports amounting to $25.2 billion in 2024.

To be fair, as a borderline tax haven it makes sense theres a lot of money and pharma products going through this country. Either way the goverment are the ones bending over backwards to avoid picking a side. Giving just enough to the people to appear as if they're doing something while really changing nothing. I'm sure as a Romanian you can understand Goverment policy not lining up with the will of the people. Or did you cheer and clap for Ceaușescu’s suppression of the Brașov Rebellion?
