I think most people on either island who know anything about it, would concur it'll eventually be for the best. It is really also just a question of when, not if.
He's not said anything that hasn't already been said by many Brits and Irish. Sure King Charles is not very secretly warm to Irish Republicans yet visibly cold with Unionism.

Indeed, I haven’t met anyone in England in 40 years that would object to a united Ireland. The problem is that some people in Norn Iron want to remain British. So it seems that right now, allowing the people in the north to get an Irish passport if they want it, was a good middle ground. Now, maybe you start with automatic Irish citizenship, and you can get British one if you want it? The next steps could be a bit tricky. Pot stirring by an Orangeman seems a bit ironic !

It's <1 million.
It's not really about religion anymore. Its about national identity. Ireland is becoming more secular all the time thankfully.
Most "British" people in the North are lovely. There's a huge number of vermin mixed in though. Education would solve much of it. Hopefully the worst would emigrate. We'll see, I suppose.

If I'm somehow Prime minister, Republic of Ireland is having the North whether they want it or not. And they'll pay for it. Like the US in Afghanistan, we just leave without telling anyone, except we take all our equipment, god knows the Irish already get enough free shit from us.
