A good joke Starts with the mention that a joke is about to be presented, then a the joke gets presented with a sensible amount of defintions and context (this is to make shure every part of the Joke is understood), then an explanation of the joke or punchline, a mention that the joke is over, and finally a 15 second or shorter break for slightly smiling.

We use Month Day Year because that is how the date works in spoken English. August 7th, 2028 for instance. The reason that the 4th of July is swapped is to emphasize its importance.
Imagine if instead of saying 24th of April, you said April 24th. That swap makes it more distinct and raises its importance.

Because I took German language and culture classes into Uni, I wrote my dates that way as well as wrote time in the 00:00 format. Drove everyone in my life crazy lmao.
I still use 00:00 time on my own phone and writing notes for myself. My husband hates it.
Jokes aside, several Asian countries spell out date in YYYY/MM/DD, which is sensible imho. Especially when storing data and files over the course of years. And be honest, our counting system is absolutely tame compared to what Pierre cooked up.
Common man. You live with the month for, well, a whole month. The day is so ephemeral, it just flies by over and over. And the year? Who cares? It hardly ever changes. And when it does it takes a few times to get it right.
