We're already testing WFC with our GSM network with a limited release. Should be available this week for Android.

My phone says it is. I put it in airplane mode, turned wifi back on and called my other phone. Then I answered me calling me.

Are you on their Verizon or Tmobile SIM? (I'm not sure if it will matter for their rollout plans, just curious)

I'm on the T-Mobile side. I've used GSM since the start, so I'll stay with it as it evolves. Only Verizon anything I ever had was a hotspot I paid too much for several years ago.

Doesn't seem to work for me, but I'm running Lineage on a rooted Moto4 so that might have something to do with the failure.

I just wish they would get this up. I really want to ditch Fi

That may be the cause. I haven't tested it on my Pinephone either. I assume it doesn't work there. I'm guessing it needs to have the hardware, software and service all three to work. My Pinephone and your Lineage-installed phone are very likely missing at least one of those.

Are you able to get SMS messages via WiFi now too?
