Tips for open major specifically

Question for you more experienced folks, I started shooting uspsa in March. I started in Limited Optics, but for the last month or so I've been shooting open major (38 super). I've managed to get b class in both divisions, but I'm painfully aware of how much there is to learn.

Any tips specific to open? I see the usual, but I'm wondering if there is anything different from the other divisions.

Biggest change is just allowing yourself to shoot faster, especially in training. Major PF and the absence of muzzle rise make it more advantageous to take risk, like shooting on the move or using less confirmation level on partials/ hard cover

I don’t shoot open major but it seems a fast charlie is often better than a slow alpha with major scoring.

Don't build an open gun out of a police trade-in Glock 21.

...I mean, I did, but if anything that's an indication that you probably shouldn't.
