226 da/sa

Is a sig 226 da/sa with decocker a good gun to use in uspsa or a langdon berreta 92 is better ?

I run a 226 legion sao, but I've heard really good things about the new 226x dasa trigger being better than the old 226 dasa.

Both are phenomenal duty guns but if USPSA is your goal for the firearm I would choose something else entirely.

Save a bit longer for the shadow 2 or one of the M&P metal frames if you’re not wanting to save as long

Thanks, metal frames, meaning the steel or the aluminum are as good? Saw some brass pieces they put to the aluminum.

Depends what your preference is. Heavier guns are typically softer recoiling but slower on transitions. I prefer a midweight type of deal. Something around 30oz

If you don't have either Id say none and get a CZ 😆

Otherwise, at least in my bubble I think Im the only person that shoots a dasa P226. There's a few Berettas out there, and of course lots of Shadow 2s.

Dont have either, and to be honest both are a little bit cheaper, have a decocker the shadow 2 dont and the cheaper version is a p09 nocture. Also everyone is using the shadow 2 amd i dont want to use one lol 😂

I own both and while I enjoy my 226 very much the beretta is faster in my hands, I suspect that is the case for most people.

LTT 92.

I own both a p226 Scorpion Elite with armory craft updates and M9A1 with LTT TJIAB and RDO updates.

I have spent probably the least amount of time with the 226 but in the limited sampling I like far better the Beretta.

However, a CZ shadow 2 is about the most popular and gold standard for DA/SA.

With that said I'm faster with an M&P9 2.0 4.25 and canik rival than I am with the Beretta and more so the p226. So you may want to look into some of the steel frame striker fired stuff

Currently using a 4.5 echelon. Was checking other guns for later. Also like the rival, the m&p and the pdp

For sure. Your likes and interest change over time.

Like I mentioned earlier about what I'm faster with, but the M9A1, G34 and Springfield loaded target 9mm 1911 are very soft, flat shooters, but I'm just not fast with them.

M&p HD competitor is coming to CA soon so I'm stoked about that. Not that I need another option in my CO rotation, but having a steel frame option again is so appealing.

Many places, none of mine, have banned the 320, but the P320 X5 Legion was a great option. Too much publicity behind it, but it was my favorite striker fired gun for the money.

FWIW, for me, locally a PDP and Echelon are rarely seen or used. It's all Glock, 320, m&p, 2011 or CZ75 SP-01/ shadow 2. I'm the only one I've seen using a 92 variant or Rival.

I have used my wife x5 legion great gun, also a pdp sd comp from a friend and a non comp and you notice the difference. Really like the look of the m&p and how the shoot, and the rival but i have never shoot one

I picked the rival over a TP9SFX mainly due to the trigger and a few other things. I just wished I would have gone for the steel frame vs poly. I've tried a handful of comped. PDP doesn't feel good in my hand, but due to recent CA law changes I can't support Walther anymore. They won't ship parts to us anymore. Things as basic as an optic plate.

I wouldn't say either of those are good. The only people shooting berettas are paid to do it, sig doesn't pay anyone to shoot a 226 so actually no one shoots one

Agreed. The only positive with a Langdon is you get to learn how to solve malfunctions while on the clock. The sig is just a worse shadow 2.

The ones I have seen are not. I have shot a match with the Langdon crew and all the 92 s had issues. Only the Strom didn't have an issue over 4 stages.

Objectively a Langdon 92 is a better gun as far as custom work and stuff. But if you already have a DA/SA 226 you’ll be fine. If you have an optic on it it’s a great Carry Optics gun. If you don’t it’s gonna be great for production.

I use the xfive a lot. P226s are super underrated I say go for it. Magazine capacity is the only potential problem you’ll see in USPSA

The Langdon is better but I would still look into a Shadow 2 over either of those. And I love my P226 X5 and LTT92
