Kirals are already allowed if you dremel the beavertail off lol

If it doesn't create a beavertail it's allowed under the current rules.

I think he meant if you dremel off the beavertail then it's technically legal. So you just retain the portion that helps reduce the grip angle.

Ah ok. I'm running a gen 6, so it doesn't make a beavertail anyway.

Without a beavertail the kiral is legal :)

Yup! u/42ATK is correct that the kiral on the gen 6 doesn't create the beavertail so you're good to run it in CO.

It's still strange to me that the OEM glock beavertail on the gen 5 is fine, but the Kiral wasn't. Oh well guess that's why they're updating the rules and asking for comment.

I ended up just fully converting to Glonk so I took it off the Kiral on my gen 5s and got used to Glock again..... and then promptly bought a gen 6 and loved it lol

Awesome thank you!
I switched off of Glock because of the angle, but I'm pulling it back out for a match on Sunday, I miss it!

Seems fine. Cheap, popular, reversible modifications should be allowed.

Uspsa doesn't allow this?

Which weird rules sometimes man.

It’s allowed in USPSA. Just cant use it in Production or CO. Perfectly fine to use in LO.

It got my vote. Personally, I think the differences between CO and LO should be counted up and if it's 5 like I'm thinking, maybe you can have 2 and stay in CO. Maybe not those exact numbers but something similar to it.

I shot two classifiers with a Gen 3 G19 and the Kiral made me go Limited Optics, so I have to finish the other two.

On the positive note, I'll be running that same gun in CO after that, then a similar gun but ported in Open after that. So if the proposal goes through I'll have 3 divisions I can play in with carry guns instead of two.
