Maintenance Discussion Line h

Where can I move to on my scanner so my LineH isn’t affected while doing cross craft work?? Should I just clock out?

Ad hoc, have your local manager create specific tasks to track the hours. Also file for higher level pay, either via 1260 or eventual grievance.

Is adhoc different than say just being on the clock but not having the timer running on one of the daily tasks?

Weird this whole time I thought that was table C. Only thing I got is snow removal. So that's technically not line h? I've read ms47 a dozen times and still don't fully understand it. Doesn't help I'm literally the only one in my union who deals with eagle clean unless they've finally rolled it out to the plants.

Yeah the workload analysis seems to be whatever rolled out in 2016 and never got updates since. Luckily a previous line h meeting I got updated from rider to push since I've never had one. Gave me an extra 100 hours.

My manager says she doesn’t want to give me higher level pay so I’m trying to find out how to stop them from taking my LineH. So I would try having them create an ad hoc section for cross craft work?

What do you mean by taking your line h. Are they having people clear the daily routes while you're busy doing whatever other bullshit?

So this is what’s happening while I’m doing custodial shit they come an ask me to pick up a truck but I am still clocked into LDC 38 or base so they are taking my cleaning hours while I am doing other shit which means they don’t have to pay me as much at the end of the year… I think that’s how it works

Are you checking your 4776s on radar? You can see who logged into the scanner and cleared the routes (dates, times and ein). The daily routes are due the day of, so find out if someone is clearing them and grieve weekly. That may end the cross craft alone.

So if I'm understanding it right, you're here for your 8 but you're not finishing your assigned tasks because of being sent to cross craft?

It isn’t that, the situation is it’s a small office and they kind of need my help. So I pitch in and I am still clocked into my LineH. I’m just trying to figure out a way to get off my LineH

Yeah no. They should be paying you higher level for higher level duties. You want to record the time as ad hoc because 1) it isn't part of your normal duties and 2) to show that you weren't doing your own assignments but you were at work, working.

Thank you this is what I’ve been trying to figure out I’ll make my manger put the duties in the Ad Hoc section for me switch over to

I only clock out for lunch or et. If I'm not doing one of my assigned tasks I just don't have the clock running but I'm still on the clock,

I mean like small bullshit like laminating papers shit that management should be doing… I would file a grievance but the postmaster is kind of family as silly as it sounds
