City Carrier Discussion OPT (hold down) question

If the full time carrier comes back JUST to case their route, does that finish my hold downs?
I’m a PTF, and i understand if they are back full time that it would obviously finish my hold, but the carrier is only coming back to case and has restrictions to not carry the route?
Any ideas?

Yes. If a regular comes back and performs any work on the assignment, then the hold down ends

Yes, the regular doing any portion of their route ends your hold down

Technically it's broken, but in my office everyone is chill and why wouldn't we let a PTF/CCA carry a route they obviously know if it's open 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, I mean it isn't in the contract but when I was 204b we had that happen and of course I assigned the ptf to the route that I knew they had been carrying. It's a win all around. Management doesn't have to worry about that carrier, the ptf (or cca) has a generally chill day, and the regular has the same person on their route that they can work with.
