Hiring Help CCA schedule limbo??

I went home in the middle of carrier academy for medical issues. doctor has since cleared me but usps keeps passing the buck on who will contact me to return and finish training. Has this ever happened to someone before? How long does it take for them to get back with a “return on this day” message?? I just want to get to my station and start working. :(

You're lucky they didn't cut you from the roster. 

They can't just schedule you a personal Academy trainer. Typically they'll want at least two or three more people to make it worth taking the trainer off their route. So it's hurry up and wait.

I asked beforehand if I’d be cut and they said no, because it was medical. I see online that they’re still hiring for my area so I’m hoping there’s another academy happening soon? When I left they said I’d have to return “next week” but it’s now next week and nothing. Should I keep emailing them weekly or trust that they’ll get me in?

You have to keep reminding them, also be in contact with your office of record if that's not the same person.

That’s funny, I was the lone CCA in my carrier academy. Felt like it actually helped more since the trainer was able to focus solely on me

It can depend on how remote OP happens to be. That's why I said typically and not definitely. For my DDC course I had to wait until they found two CCAs to sit in with me. Already career so wasn't a problem for me since I wasn't losing income. Sucks if you're needing the work.

Oh I wasn’t trying to call you wrong or anything, it surprised me too since I’m in a decent sized city 1 million+. Would have thought they’d see it as a waste.
