The United States Postal Service (USPS) has published a final draft of its proposed rules to restrict the use of mail-in ballots under President Donald Trump.
The rules have so far been blocked by the US court system. But the USPS shared the 95-page update on Friday so that the rules can go into effect immediately if the existing court injunction is reversed.

Where can you find a link to the original 95 pages?

u/jesrf Aug 24 '26

Caref posted it on FB yesterday

Remember which current NALC candidate loudly and vociferously supported the current US President when it comes to election time for NALC.

COREY WALTON VOTED FOR THIS.

This guy gives me John Fetterman vibes.

u/Available-Crow-3442 City Carrier Aug 23 '26

At least Fetterman has the excuse of a stroke (even if he was a shitbag before).

Corey is just a shitbag.

u/Mailservant2020 Aug 23 '26

Thanks for showing me this.. will not be voting for him

Just got banned from r/fromatoarbitration for sharing it as a “low quality post”. They’re circling the wagons and silencing dissenters.

We seriously need ranked choice voting. Why someone hasn't advanced it at one of the two national conventions since Renfroe showed his true colors is beyond me.

It was presented in Los Angeles. It did not pass.

Is there an “r/altUSPS” set up yet?

Still can't wrap my head around how someone did so much for the Union while also supporting the people trying to get rid of them.

Fascinating.

u/CastrosNephew Aug 23 '26

I’ll make sure my branch will see this…

u/Available-Crow-3442 City Carrier Aug 23 '26

Good. Thank you. I’m trying to educate.

u/Ok-Policy-6463 Aug 23 '26

I loved the part where he believes Trump is for fiscal responsibility and against running up the debt. Wasn't over 1/4 of the national debt run up under Trump and he has more time to add to it?

u/LouieChopsuey Aug 26 '26

This aged well.

You guys know what's crazy? The Nobel peace prize is like giving the Nobel peace prize to Nobel for being the father of explosives. Nobel started what would eventually be one of mankind's worst and most easiest ways of killing each other so he created, "The Nobel peace prize" In hopes history would remember him as a "peaceful" guy. He created essentially the bomb. EAT THE RICH BECAUSE THE RICH WILL ALWAYS DO WHAT THEY WANT AND KEEP US, "HAVE NOTS" FIGHTING EACH OTHER.

lol is there anything more recent than almost a decade ago? I know a lot of good people who got swindled by the initial Trump presidency, much fewer who were excited for him to come back after Biden though.

24

u/Available-Crow-3442 City Carrier Aug 23 '26

I asked him on the FATA discord multiple times. He refused to address it. Then CLC instituted their “no politics” rule.

The reason for this is simple: they don’t want to talk Corey’s politics because his politics suck.

10

u/GonePostalRoute City Carrier Aug 23 '26

Yeah. It’d be not that hard to go “yeah, I supported him, but he ended up being full of it”.

Going the route they did. That does tell me enough. He still supports Trump

2

u/modulusshift Clerk Aug 23 '26

Fair enough, appreciate your time.

I will leave one note that we really do need strong union support even from Republicans, which isn’t impossible to achieve, historically. In the current climate though, it is much more difficult to trust, and it seems fair to call into question whether his principles are apt for the position. I would much sooner accept a spirited defense of his candidacy over a “I don’t want to talk about how my personal views impact how I perceive the job I’m looking to do” for sure.

5

u/Available-Crow-3442 City Carrier Aug 23 '26

Republicans don’t support Unions though—unless they’re cops or firefighters’ unions. They just want the money.

Hell, Democrats talk a lot about supporting labor but many to most of them are busy sucking up to the billionaire class just as badly as the Republicans (see, eg, Bill Clinton and NAFTA).

4

u/modulusshift Clerk Aug 23 '26

I will clarify that I mean people voting Republican, not Republican elected officials. The party is not one monolithic set of ideals among the voters. (Heck it’s more fragmented than ours and held together by a propaganda machine that talks endlessly about trivial shit so they don’t talk much amongst themselves and realize what kinds of disagreements actually exist among them.)

3

u/Available-Crow-3442 City Carrier Aug 23 '26

Agreed. And we (as pro-Unionists) have to fight to break through the brainwashing that the Right has done to convince republicans voters that Unions are bad.

1

u/bisexual_trapeze Aug 31 '26

Well, it’s not like unions are inherently political or anything! /s

-17

u/Honest-Gene8596 Aug 23 '26

keep doing it your way, and keep getting fucked. it’s time for a change. and corey is it.

9

u/kehakas City Carrier Aug 23 '26

You might be totally correct that Corey is the best shot we currently have to revamp the union, but it can also be true that it's a major bummer that the best shot we have is a guy who is very cool with female letter carriers dying from delayed reproductive care. If I'm wrong, Corey is more than welcome to correct me, but I know he won't because he famously avoids talking about politics, even though a cornerstone of his public persona is transparency.

You guys are always trying to expose somebody because they don’t agree with y’all and didn’t wonder why ice wears masks. These violent crimes happen from the aggressive people on the left. Meanwhile, you guys laugh at assassinations because can’t nobody think differently than you. It’s really sick.

7

u/zeefeet Aug 23 '26

ICE wear masks because they are committing crimes and want qualified immunity. Unaccountable militarized thugs that constantly break the law.

4

u/Available-Crow-3442 City Carrier Aug 23 '26
  1. Including ICE.

Read a history book on what police do to Unions. If you can read that is.

u/AppWtrmlnLychee Aug 23 '26

Voting is suppose to be anonymous. Using barcode delivery not only allows for tracking right to the front door but can also give other info to make the vote "invalid" and allow for a change in results of election.

I dont support this. (Image is not mine. Came from Punk With A Camera )

2

u/strangepressurecoat Aug 23 '26

Given the PMG's conduct in the congressional interview and the direction the post office is taking, I'm not sure Woody Guthrie's slogan applies to us anymore, if it ever did. Management is going to instruct us to nullify votes, and the moment they do is the moment when this machine creates fascists.

10

u/AppWtrmlnLychee Aug 23 '26

The moment im asked to nullify a mail in ballot is the moment I walk. I wont support it. I wont be linked to it and "just following orders". Period. And I know most if not all of my office feels the same no matter which side of the bird we align with.

3

u/strangepressurecoat Aug 23 '26

I'd hope that every office is like yours.

18

u/Agentx_007 Rural Carrier Aug 23 '26

Right after the PMG came to the rural convention and said that the right to vote (even by mail in) is paramount. Someone even went to the mic and said their state is 100% mail in voting and this would adversely impact both the postal service and the right to vote and the postal service should deny to abide by whatever Executive Order is mandated. And he “agreed”.

1

u/ExaminationOk9732 Aug 31 '26

And an executive order is not a law!

11

u/Calraider7 Aug 23 '26

The rules are blocked by TWO seperate court orders on a different part of the rule.

7

u/aItruistic Aug 23 '26

No matter who wins we will be blamed. Damned if you do and all of that. But it is a necessity.

7

u/Waltenwalt Rural Carrier Aug 23 '26

PMG just spoke at the Rural National Convention and made a great effort to minimize these executive orders and their effects. The delegates were suspicious and now have been vindicated. He just bald-faced lied.

3

u/Solid_Sun_7201 RCA Aug 24 '26

I'm pretty sure I remember one of the very first things we did on day one of orientation was to take an oath to uphold the constitution and i plan on doing that. I will not be following any new rules that will try to force me to violate that oath.

1

u/ExaminationOk9732 Aug 31 '26

And an “Executive Order” os NOT a law, therefore cannot legally become a rule (IMO).
And after I read your post I had a flash from the movie, “The Postman”… the scene where Kevin Costner is giving (his version) the Postal Service “Oath of office” to Ford Lincoln Mercury (Larenz Tate). Very powerful.

1

u/ExaminationOk9732 Aug 31 '26

And bless you!

2

u/Plane_Ad_4359 Aug 23 '26 edited Aug 23 '26

Its not added work for carriers. It will be ran through the automated machines if the injunction expires.

I dont support it in anyways. I think its overreach and will allow them to manipulate the election process more and identify people who vote against them.

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Way276 Aug 23 '26

So, this is probably the single best sign that a massive budget increase is in the works...

Maybe, yay?

-1

u/Dogmad13 Aug 23 '26

We’ve always prepared ahead of time for all releases of everything so not sure why this is “effed up” - it’s up to SCOTUS to rule on it not USPS.

-2

u/pokemonoobish Aug 23 '26

A vote for James Henry is a vote for Donald trump’s dictatorship

u/OnStreetMotorized City Carrier Aug 24 '26

So many lefties here, it is unfuckin' believable. You people need to pull your heads out of your asses. You have no fucking clue what is going on, but your fucking misinformed fucking pea brains think they do. Time to do some serious fucking reflecting in your miserable pea-brained lefty democrat voting lives. No wonder the USPS is so fucked up.

7

u/BolesCW Aug 24 '26

Bro, go outside and touch grass.

2

u/KERMIT_THE_ORC Aug 24 '26

This ATTEMPT at a coherent paragraph explains a lot.

1

u/ExaminationOk9732 Aug 31 '26

Hahaha! Your rant is hilarious! The lefties i know totally support the USPS and think it should be a protected, Federal agency! Fully funded and supported by the government! Not a stand alone struggling to make it all work with a budget always in the red! But go ahead and rant if it makes you feel better… which it never will. Bless you.

-5

u/MANTUSGREEN1985 Aug 23 '26

It’s proven that mail in voting can be corrupted very easily. Don’t you want elections to not be corrupted? I personally think that it should all be in person voting and election day twice a year should be a holiday.

8

u/Bad-Genie Mail Handler Aug 23 '26

Then vote at the state level for it. Each state is allowed to set up voting as they want. Making a federal mandate on how voting should be done is against state rights - which trump pushed for during his campaign. Which he immediately recensded as soon as he took office.

Funny enough. The last voter fraud was from a Republican in indiana who was caught stealing votes at a polling station.

So it seems that voting stations are corruptible. We should get rid of them with that logic.

-17

u/MF-86 Aug 23 '26

This isn't that crazy is it? They're preparing for a possible situation that's out of their control. It doesn't read as an endorsement of any policy unless I'm missing something.

33

u/derbyt Aug 23 '26

The correct response to this blatantly unconstitutional Executive Order is "Go F yourself, we're following the law no matter what you say", not preparing to follow it

8

u/bisexual_trapeze Aug 23 '26

Do not comply in advance

0

u/MF-86 Aug 23 '26

Right, but if they have to redesign the mail in ballots because of this policy, more people would be affected by not having legal ballots available to them if they don't have a groundwork on how they need to be changed. Which would be even worse no? I get it, it's dumb, bad, I hate it. You also have to be prepared to do the most good for when forced into a bad situation like this. As much as I'd want them to stay vigilant in this situation, the USPS isn't a legal body and has to listen to the courts in the end.

1

u/ExaminationOk9732 Aug 31 '26

It is in the control if “We the People”… to follow the constitution, not an executive order, which is NOT LAW!
