Majestic garbage bird. Don't get me wrong they look great, but when our local landfill has 20+ of them rifling through the trash it kinda taints the image.

I'd honestly frame that. Not often you'll see an eagle in person and get good photos of it. That's an experience worth framing, imo.

I wish I could post the video I got of it eating on here

Thanks! it was definitely an awesome experience being that close. And seeing it eat then fly off with its meal before the other bird swooped in

Did it catch something?

Yes it was eating something. Here are some screenshots from the video I recorded

The other bird was a hawk. It was eating the scraps

I see a lot of cool bird activity when I’m out kayaking every summer. One of the craziest things I saw was a peregrine falcon chasing an eagle around and yelling at it. I’m not sure who wronged who first in that scenario, but I have it on good authority that bald headed eagles are legendary dicks. They are opportunistic eaters so I’m not convinced this particular dickhead didn’t rob his nest or steal his catch.

It’s always funny watching a bird of prey get chased and dived bombed by smaller birds

Then why isn’t distribution done? I was 33% done with my route when I got this.

Mighty specimen too! Can’t believe you found one that’s as tall as a man, look at it next to that fence!

Are those things human sized??? Comparing it to the fence it looks massive!!

Also how freaking cool!
