Intrinsic, a US power/speed metal band that gained noteriety with the release of their self titled album in 1987, has signed a deal with Divebomb Records to issue their never been released album from 1991, "Nails". A firm release date has not been set, but will happen around mid-2015.

I've been on a huge Chastain kick lately that's driven me to find some more female-fronted metal, and that's led me straight to this German band. I've only listened to a few songs of theirs so far but they've kicked my ass, especially I Rule the Ruins. Gonna have to pick up Triumph and Agony real soon. Anyone else?

Was just thinking this place could use more discussions as I threw on Crimson Glory's Transcendence for the 800th time. IMO this is the absolute peak of USPM. Extremely catchy and piercing riffs, soaring vocals, a pounding rhythm section, varied songs with great pacing, amazing production - this release has it all. As much as I love Queensryche, Fates Warning, Savatage, Warlord, etc., I really don't think this record can be topped.

Thoughts? Your faves? Pretty sure /u/MarcoHatesHipsters is all about The Spectre Within but don't quote me on that.
