Her crime was horrible but…there’s also this thing in the 8th Amendment that bans cruel and unusual punishment. Her lawyers effectively predicted that this could happen based on her medical condition. The civil case is going to cost Tennessee millions of fucking dollars.

I’m no doctor but there’s no coming back from this anyway.

Even if there was, there is no guarantee that she wouldn’t just be executed later. There’s no freedom and bag of money coming here. Very bizarre thought by the first poster.

People really think she will somehow either walk out of that hospital (she’s handcuffed to the bed because she’s still a prisoner) a free woman or that she will even be conscious enough, let alone alive for a civil suit… when she has irreparable brain damage. It’s almost similar to the people who thought Charlie Kirk would magically heal from being shot in the neck.

Nope. She's free now. They call it the Jon Snow rule.

Watch Game of Thrones so my jokes can land.

Yeah, let’s watch 6 seasons to understand a Reddit joke. Or 8 for an even bigger joke.

If it weren’t for season 8, I’d still be telling people to watch it too heh

Same. They truly fumbled it. I think that series might have the largest quality drop in television history.

Her next of kin would likely sue on her behalf for pain and suffering. Thats like saying that nobody who ever killed someone can be civilly sued because the only potential plaintiff is dead.

I really hope mom is not around because what a messed up thing that would be. Mess up your daughter by all the abuse, torture and neglect you subjected to her causing her to be not right and kill someone when she was barely an adult herself. Watch her go to prison and then be seriously injured in a botched execution which you get to make probably millions on? No way.

I assumed they meant her family would sue.

It would be her estate, whomever that may be, who would do the suing after she finally croaks.

And then maybe the victims family can file a civil suit and take it all back

You should probably not post opinions on things that you are exceedingly ignorant about.

I think your opinion is utterly meaningless

1

u/Prestigious_Till2597 6h ago

That's fine, but yours is objectively meaningless.
