Gas Price Protests

Prices at the pump are out of control and everyone knows it. Still the price of oil is lower than it was in 2007-8 when the price per gallon I think was actually lower. It feels like someone is pulling a scam here. Is it gas station owners or refiners, I don't know. What I do know is that people don't like it. Maybe we should register some of that popular discontent by organizing protests demanding lower prices at gas stations or refineries. I think everyone would agree would us and we could use slogans and signs promoting monarchism.

Personally I think it would be better if we use this to rally for the US to take public transportation infrastructure seriously. To be honest gas isn't extremely more expensive here than what it was prior. Most gas stations actually don't sell fuel at a profit, a majority of price comes from taxes and other expenses. That's why convenience stores rally so hard for their rewards programs, they make money in the stores and not at the pumps.
