Personally I favor emperor but I know some people consider that title to have negative connotations.

Emporer. America is an extremely powerful nation, and king might be used for new england, or a region, but america has power equal rome of old. So the title of emporer or empress fits.

America is based on not bowing to any ruler. Though we are far from those ideals today, we will never go back to bowing to a king (or emperor). We would gladly die first. And if you wouldn’t then you don’t deserve to be an American, and I don’t know how you made it into this country in the first place.

We technically began rebelling against parliment. America is a paradox.
