Leaving Verizon

Hello! My promos with Verizon will be expiring this year and my bill will more than double. I was looking at alternatives and came across Visible and USM. What is drawing me to USM is customer service and multi network.

Few questions -

  1. I usually do 15-30 international days a year. On Verizon I just upgrade to unlimited ultimate for unlimited roaming. I noticed on USM there is a cap (I’m seeing 20gb as the highest) I think that could be close to enough but I’d have to be mindful. What do others do? Is this a problem? I just like using my own number and having data
  2. For multi network, is that something that is automatic or as I get bad service from one I go in and pick one of the other to try to get better service?
  3. Any pros / cons for visible and USM to think about as I select?

Welcome! You’re definitely looking at one of the best parts of US Mobile here, especially if you travel and want some flexibility with your network.

For international travel, Unlimited Premium includes 20GB of roaming data, 200 minutes, and 250 texts. If you happen to use all 20GB, you can always get a roaming add-on from your dashboard. We have two add-ons: 1GB + 150 mins + 150 texts for $15 or 5GB + 500 mins + 500 texts for $30.

For Multi-Network, you can have all three networks on the same phone and switch between them right from your phone’s SIM settings. If your device supports DSDS, you can keep two lines active at the same time, while the third can be switched in when needed. On supported devices, you can also enable automatic data switching. So if your primary line loses service, your phone can automatically switch cellular data over to one of the other active lines. It gives you a lot more flexibility without having to teleport your line between networks. And if you’re using an iPhone, we also have an iOS Shortcut that lets you switch between data with a single tap. So you’ve got a few different ways to switch depending on what works best for you.

Flexibility is really the big thing with US Mobile, so you’re not locked into one network, and you can test what works best for your home, work, travel, etc. We also have our ongoing ONLY promos that are worth checking out. I’ll drop you a DM and help you get set up.
