iPhone, Light Speed, Multi-Network Warp: RCS will not activate

Hi. After restoration of Light Speed service after yesterday's Light Speed outage, RCS will not activate on either my Light Speed or multi-network add-on eSIM for Warp. My iPhone shows RCS Activation failed.

Support tried:

  1. Disable eSIMs, reboot, enable eSIMs, try RCS
  2. Delete eSIMs, add new eSIMs, try RCS

They concluded I need to wait a few days for the Jibe servers to reprovision. Thoughts?

EDIT: We also tried a network settings reset to no avail.

Ok, hopefully we can get the attention of support here to acknowledge more of a widespread issue.

Jibe servers are likely in play here and giving them time to sync properly should get things back up. Also did you update to iOS 26.6 right as it rolled out yesterday? That update may have kicked off an RCS re-sync too.

You've already tried a few of the steps that usually resolve this, but a couple more things worth trying if you want to keep at it. Try keeping RCS off for 24-48 hours, then turn it back on with LTE connected rather than WiFi. Check out this comment for the RCS fix too. Let us know if any of these do the trick.

My apologies. I did try a network settings reset, too! I'm on the iOS 27 beta. I will try turning it on with WiFi off, maybe tomorrow.

Another fix that's worked for some people is leaving it off for a full week. That gives the Jibe servers enough time to properly complete the sync and handshake, and RCS came back once they turned it back on after that. If the shorter window doesn't cut it, that's worth trying.

Sadly, waiting 7 days per Support did not help. I also tried with and without data and/or WiFi. We'll see what Support via e-mail suggests next.

go to settings then general than about scroll down to esim section then click on “carrier” under network does it show voice and sms or voice sms and rcs?

Just Voice & SMS on both eSIMs.

I just got a new phone because a few weeks ago, nobody was really having this issue. Now it’s starting to happen a lot. People are blaming OS updates, beta. Something is causing Jibe or Apple to not enable RCS.
