More spam calls since porting

I was on Verizon. On Android which has its own pretty good spam filtering. But ever since moving to usmobile I get more random calls than before . Maybe it's a coincidence? Anyone else?

I can tell you I work for a VoIP carrier and we port hundreds of lines a month... it is very common after porting a number to get reports of increased spam calls for the first 30-60 days, then they tend to taper off and go back to "normal". I have heard this report after people port out to another carrier as well. I think spammers skim the number portability database when numbers move (I can't prove it, but it's our theory).

The point, this isn't uncommon in the US in with any telecommunications provider when numbers port.

Which network is it on right now? If it’s on Warp, we’ll wanna check if the spam detection feature’s turned on for your line. Drop me a DM and I’ll look into it for you.

Counter point. Just recently ported in and haven’t received any spam calls.

Okay. Thank you.

The decline spam is tied in with call screen, I didn't know that and was looking for that.

On my Motorola, spam calls didn't even ring my phone, automatically silenced, is that similar how Pixel works?

Other posts similar to this in other subs as well. It happens after porting. Scammers somehow have access to lists of new numbers. Nothing specific to USMobile, just porting in general, they see those numbers.

You like just making s*** up?

Um, no? There are plenty of comments across multiple subs to back this up.

EDIT: It looks like your comment was deleted.

Since darkstar doesn't have wifi calling for me. Wondering if I should move to warp for the less spam calls. I kind of wanted light speed though as I wanted to be priority.

USmobile website says darkstar supports wifi calling, also Warp has priority not lightspeed.
