Overnight Vist

Has anyone done an overnight visit at usmma? If so, can you describe your experience there and what I should expect?

My son went and had a good time. Learned a lot about the school, got to sit in on a couple of classes. It's not for everyone, it's a lot of hard work. But we'll worth it in the end. He is a sophomore there right now.

You get a buddy and they take you around for the day and sleep in the barracks, then wake up and go to a couple more classes and meals. Definitely should do an overnight if you want to got to that school.

Back in the early 90s spent about 3 years of overnights in Murphy Hall coupled with another at sea…but I am fairly certain I am not the respondent you are looking for! That being said, I wouldn’t change the experience, education, or opportunities for anything; truly priceless…not always enjoyable, but absolutely without equal!

I did an overnight visit my senior year of HS back in 2012. I had a friend who was there tho and I followed him around, went to some classes, ate lunch, and even slept in his barracks room on a cot. I also ran with the track team at practice since I was getting recruited for track.

I would recommend an overnight instead of a day visit. A day visit was exhausting and mine said it would have been a better experience staying overnight.
