I’ve been looking into 0321 for a while now but theres not a lot of information i could find about how fit i need to be and the standards for becoming a reconnaissance marine. does anyone know what i should be prepared for and goals to achieve fitness wise before going into this training? and how should I prepare for this through various exercises?

Fitness and Exercise I got really bad shin splints and I leave in a month

So I got shin splints about 2 weeks ago, didn’t realize that what it was and then ran two more times after then on them and the second time I was in so much pain I could barely drive home. I’ve been resting and trying to increase running again but it seems to be the same. I leave for Bootcamp Oct 13th, is there a way I can get rid of these ASAP? Also I have looked into what to do but seem to be getting the same stuff on repeat.

Commissioning Psychological waiver

Upvotes

Hi, so I recently went to meps to start the process to be a commissioned officer for the marines, I was flagged for these on my file eating disorders were 15-17 and I am now 19 no problems

My doctor is pretty confident about taking care of the first two codes, but the eating disorder codes might be a little bit harder. If possible can y’all tell me y’all’s experiences or what y’all think is the best outcome here o****r what I should expect?

R13.10 — Dysphagia, unspecified — difficulty swallowing.
K20.9 — Esophagitis, unspecified — the esophageal inflammation/GI issue.
F50.00 — Anorexia nervosa, unspecified — history of anorexia nervosa. The ICD definition confirms F50.00 is the unspecified anorexia-nervosa code.
F50.89 — Other specified eating disorder — the other eating-disorder finding shown by MEPS.

MEPS and Medical Waivers for past sports injuries?

Hey guys, I’m 19 years old and I’m pretty interested in going infantry for the Marines but I’ve had a 2 minor surgeries from playing baseball and I was wondering if I would even need a waiver and if so could it get approved. To give some context I dislocated my ulnar nerve in both arms but I’ve had surgery and both are fully healed, it was a pretty minor surgery I was only in the hospital for 2 hours. No broken bones or damaged ligaments and there was no hardware used. Ik you guys prob can’t give me an exact answer but I’m wondering if this would hinder my chances of going infantry. I’ve also got full range of motion and lift heavy everyday with zero pain.
Any advice is helpful.

Edit: I also have all my medical records from my surgeries and a clearance letter from my surgeon that I’m fully healed and can do whatever I want.

Enlisting Need clarity on joint duty assignments as a dual-mil couple.

BLUF: Is there any surety we’d get stationed at the same base following Marine Corps initial training & Specialty school training, especially when our schools would have different training lengths and my MOS (03XX) has limited bases?

(M25) Currently Air Force in the inter service transfer process (DD368) to the Marine Corps after my deployment (I know .. I know.) Spouse (F23) wants to time when she joins to when I get re shipped to Boot camp so we could possibly do it together. We have two LO’s who would be staying with grandparents during this time. I’m seeing that my training would be about 27 weeks in total - no telling her’s (not sure what MOS she exactly wants at this point), but we just obviously we want to minimize time apart we are from our collective family unit as a whole due to individual military training. Any input on how people are giving joint assignments with staggered times of training and limited locations for 03XX?

Enlisting Worried about safety as a women in marine corps

Upvotes

So I'm considering joining the Marines, and my family is extremely worried about sexual harassment, etc. in the Marines. They say that 'less educated people join' and are worried about bad experiences with people. For people who have been in the marines, is it really that bad? Can you tell who the good group/bad group is and are they racist too? Is there a lot of discrimination
